Besides myself and Dr_Slurpee, I don't know who else is bring stuff to donate to the raffle. Fortunately we've been able to pull together quite a few items raffle off.

If you recall I'll be bringing both a Hellboy Spellbook and a couple of ROTLA Bible pages for your raffle. The book is worth $150 and the Bible Pages are $15 each.

I'm just bringing some sci-fi guns to display.

For those of you who want a sneak peak at the location,
here is a link. The room is a very good size.
We can walk freely along the corridors and there is an outdoor area.
AND, the room entrance is only a few metres from the building entrance, so going back and forth to your cars(for stuff) won't be too far.

I generally have a rule about not adding people on facebook that I haven't met. I believe that would be a requirement to be invited to a FB event page?

Let's see how many people actually show up first.

Feel free to spread word of the event any way possible.

It was created 'within' the RPF so advertising has been done only through the main thread.
I mentioned before I'm also on 'Scifihero.net' and I started a thread over there as well.
Other than that, I expect all attendance to be 50% due to word-of-mouth.

Approx 15-20 RPF members have confirmed their attendance.

If this event turns out well we can consider holding them twice per year.

**Also, there will hopefully be a 'surprise' visitor, but that's still in the works. I'll find out more as the date gets closer.

For Facebook events I think you can make it open so that anyone can invite others.

Not everyone is on RPF. There are a lot of people that are interested in props and such. The hard part is getting the information to them so they know about events such as this.

I know, I agree with you totally.
I just don't use Facebook.
This event was created out of the RPF.
I've kept all advertising local to the RPF and Scifihero.

Like I say, if it turns out well, we can consider how we can advertise the next one. Anyone on Facebook can spread the word freely.

****Helping out a Fellow Torontonian Stargate fan****

FOR ANY STARGATE COLLECTORS

I have been contacted by 2 nice people in Toronto, Matt & Alana.

They are moving to Europe and they would like to sell 3 set pieces from Stargate SG-1.
I believe they were purchased from the 'LA Prop Store'
I saw the listing for them on Craigslist and coincidentally Matt contacted me asking if I know anyone who is a 'serious' collector who may be interested in buying the 3 unique set pieces.

He joined the RPF to find people to buy these, but he doesn't yet have enough posts to start a thread(new user).

I have offered to help set up a 'thread' for them to try and help them sell this stuff.

I guess I'll post in the 'Junkyard'

We are the ones offering the 3 Goa'uld set dec pieces here in Toronto. Unfortunately we cannot make it to the Toronto reunion :cry, that's why we are looking for some Stargate fans around the area that may want to adopt these pieces, as we cannot take them to Europe with us...
