Tom Clancy's The Division (original character build)

For anyone else who wants to cosplay as a Division operator, here's a link to the Google Sketchup file I made to 3D print your own brick!

Here's some pics of the final product before finishing and painting:

(The bottom says "Massive Entmt Rock So Hard")

This is PLA plastic, not ABS. See earlier in the thread for how to build the antenna assembly. I made mine with just the 1/4" dowel, a drill and a screw, electrical tape, and thin craft foam and superglue/E6000. Plus, you'll need a 1/8" jack and cord to plug in and attach to the antenna.

Enjoy!

MM, CM or IN ?

For the watch face
Wish I could help with that, I got my watch from the Collectors edition, but if your good with EVA Foam I'd recommend making it out of that, or I think in an early thread someone mentioned using a cheap G-Shors watch(G-shock Knock-off) or something similar and then gutting it out and putting your own stuff in it

What graphic did you use? Id like to recreate the watch instead of paying 100 for a collectors edition replica?

I created it myself in Photoshop.

If you want a jpeg of the image, just PM me your email address and I'll send you a copy like I did ZombieJoe earlier in the month.

If you're talking about 3D printer .STL files, they are already around. Mine are posted on Thingiverse.

An aside, .STL files do not have units. So it's not that they aren't to scale, they were just drawn at a certain scale (in or mm) and you need to import it at that scale. If it comes in huge, or small, just use the other setting when you import it! It's not that hard.

i have a general question.
in the short movie " the division-origins". What kind of bag is the female agent wearing. that looks pretty badass

If anyone is looking for SHD (and other Division related) patches, a company called Stitch Me Up makes some really cool ones (even Cleaner/LMB/etc!). They are in the UK tho, and I'm not 100% sure if they do international shipping.

Also, a question. We're planning Division outfits for a con in October with my friend, and I'm thinking about getting a Hazmat Outfit together (would go pretty well with my orange M4, yay for annoying UK RIF laws :D ). Anyone know where I could get jacket&pants for that? Found these so far, but I'm not 100% happy with how they look...

Great Job finding "Stitch Me Up"

I'm an UK resident like yourself and the UK RIF laws can be a pain but will keep you and other members of the public safe but there is options.
1. In The Division, you are able to have "Skins" on your rifle so it could be bright orange.
2. Spray Paint the whole rifle in matte black and leave the tip an bright colour, but you have two magazines for your rifle, First one will be realistic but the Second one will be the prop one which will be a bright colour like orange/yellow and then if there will be photo's taken then just switch them out.

The CBRN Protective Gear you are wanting isn't used in most places and wouldn't be cheap but if you used (THIS) then you could get the jacket & Pants for an affordable price and if you want it orange then simply spray it with light coats of glossy orange spray paint, It's that easy.

Thanks for your suggestions!

For the gun: managed to get an orange spraypaint that is pretty close for the "official" Division orange, so I'll spray most of the gun with that (it's already orange, but a not too good looking very plastic orange), also spray an SHD logo and whatever on it, then weather it a bit. Other gun for my friend will be light blue, as for some weird reason he isn't a fan of orange :D

On the CBRN gear, that looks awesome! Would the spraypaint stick to it without starting to flake off after a couple hours of moving around in it?

Great to hear about the guns, The CBRN gear that I linked you will work fine with 4 coats of glossy orange spray paint and add a clear primer which will give the orange spray paint a protective coating from weather and it would work well on your M4 after spraying.

Hope this helps.

Yup, it helps a lot! Thanks again! I'll probably spray the guns this weekend, so expect photos soon(ish) :D

Heyy, soo who is all going to Wondercon this weekend, I'll be there all three days, but I'll be wearing my agent cosplay on Saturday and Sunday, also Keelan562, didn't you mention you could come on sunday?

YUP!

Trying my damnest to make it happen. Just had a tire on my Jeep get shredded, so I need to replace that before the weekend so that I can drive over. But Sunday would be the only day I'd be going, if I do. So far, that plan hasn't changed. I'll know for sure Friday whether it'll happen or if I need to go MIA for a bit (Missing Agent mission, anyone? ;) )

LOVE that you posted about Stitch Me Up here, Hazzard! Love their work, and I even got the more triangular version of the SHD patch from them for my V.2 cosplay the week the game came out (was gonna be a surprise).

Definitely worth the price, and the shipping isn't bad considering. I placed my order with them through their Etsy shop, and it was already on the way the very next afternoon, so their turnaround is pretty damn quick, too.
