Tom’s Falcon Oxygen mask and tank

I have an interesting update.

I have not identified the red knob, but I did stumble upon a knob the exact size we need. I have a knockoff proxxon chop saw and this holds down the vise under the blade.

I’m making a shoulder and I’m going to mold this. Maybe make a few metal ones… but resin would be a lot more reliable.

If this comes out well, I can throw them in my Etsy store. I might even be able to paint them, testors is on sale at my local Michael’s

That's closer than anything I've found. Great job!

Thank you!

I’m cutting it out of silicone today, I had a hard time trying to setup air vents for the knob overhang with the pour spout at the bottom. Instead I put a pour spout on the face and I can chuck it in my lathe and sand it off, leaving a nice finish

As it always is, there’s some factor I didn’t think of. My first mold was absolutely beautiful except for one flaw

I was going to stick it in my lathe and sand it a little

But then the face has gravity bubbles, absolutely miniscule

So I flipped it upside down, poured a second mold with the rear facing up. Tomorrow I’ll check it out
