So, I wanted to start this thread for myself and others, working off the amazing research already done on the RPF.

The oxygen tanks from the Falcon are really interesting. So far, this is what they’re made of right?

Soda Syphon top
Red tightening knob
Clothing clip
Michell knob?
7/8" Smoke Evacuation Hose and mask
Scuba mask hinges
Air filters from splash goggles
Bottom cylinder with flats from original part use

These are the soda syphon tops I’ve found so far. The disassembled one was the one with a chrome curvy trigger. The others are machine finish triggers with different tops.

I found that last syphon the other day in an antique store with a “close” cartridge holder and was like.. I should grab this.

Anyway, are these oxygen tanks green or brown?!

I want to add some of the public reference I’ve been using

First off, we can see parts of the O2 Tank in other areas of the movie.

The bottom half appears beneath the gunner screen, connected to a hose

The tops are used in the medical bay, with the DV6 part in the port

And a copy of the whole O2 Tank is used as a "tool" on Dagobah. What looks like a dremel grinding stone sticking out of the top, including the cartridge holder stuck to the side.

lets see... I checked and this is all public info from the other thread.
The red knob is also on FX7 - thank you to Lonepigeon

The clear domes are in this Astromech droid

I guess I have to go find that hose and a pair of scuba goggles now....

Call me crazy, but I think the bottom of the tank was cut from something longer, and quite possibly kitchen equipment.

Take a look at this, there is a section with vertical ridges that's tucked under the connecting part. (from a 4k screencap)

and there MIGHT be a hole in that section too...

Can you point to the vertical ridges, I'm sorry to say that I don't see them. Thanks :)

I see better on my computer it seems. All the way at the top for the ridges? that is faint, but yeah, indeed there is something there

Yeah, its very faint, here's another boosted version of that photo

as you adjust the levels its easier to see in real time lol

Sooo let’s look closer at a few (at first glance) identical tops. Lesson to be learned: if you haven’t spent a decent amount of time studying the prop you’ll miss details

My most recent top has the co2 inlet and sprayer perpendicular instead of opposite! AND duh, anything without that chrome flip cap will not have the hinge built into the top

BOC, Austrian brand and an older one from the US

The part shown in the last photo is close, but the wrong shape. The accurate charger is more square, and unfortunately harder to find.

YUP I have yet to actually nab the right one. For now I snipped the wings of this more common one... but I'm still on the lookout for the correct version

I've got some new screencaps. I have this current theory that they made a mold of a master and made a bunch of casts. Some might be fiberglass backed resin like a lot of the stunt blasters in ESB.. some might be all resin with greeblies added.

I believe the dark rectangle is just the recess where the syphon lever/trigger used to be. I also have some possible new news on this prop coming soon

Son of a gun Tom… you’re good! I never noticed that oxygen tank until you shared it!

Okay, this is going to be a wild ride. I’m going to make both the white “unit” on dagobah and the falcon tank.. with full real body parts I’m pretty damned sure.

First off, idk if I’m late on this, I found a Nebulizer mask with existing holes and the extra flip of material on the nose bridge! This is by Devilbiss, the same company that made the atomizers used as Luke’s lightsaber tool. It’s what’s available today, and it’s squashed, I’m sorta trying to straighten it out.

There are some model kit parts on the dagobah tank and I’ve identified 1 maybe 2. I actually accidentally found the one at a local collectible toy store and picked it up so I can mold things properly

Ryan, I'm excited, I'll definitely be grabbing the mask strap pieces from you! The cartridges maybe.. I found one myself, I'll let you know. they looks good tho lol
