Mynock cave - Falcon Oxygen Mask

So, I managed to get an a smoke evac hose from 2011 and the ******* address is 30 minutes from my house.

I contacted the current company, I think that plant suffered layoffs, and they may only sell to medical places, but I offered to personally pick them up if they’d sell to me lol

Bummer. that facility had layoffs in 2018-2019 and I guess that was followed by a full closure of the plant.

I have a Devilbiss mask. I haven’t measured the holes though - are they too big for the tablespoon scratch build for the vents?

I’ve been casually looking at old goggles like everyone else and still haven’t seen any other than the geometric 5 hole vents or whatever

Okay folks - I have a question to pose.

It seems the BOC cartridge used on the prop was a cast, and the tank itself barely weighs anything (see it fall off Hans jacket and dangle by the hose when the “cave” wakes up.

So, how on earth was this hose installed in the body? It seems to expand to a square ish shape and I don’t see a barb extending outside the body, I’ll upload some pictures from me laptop.

EDIT: Okay folks, I got permission to post a screenshot I had been looking at. What perplexed me is that I see almost an original sized hole in the cartridge holder. I do not see a protruding hose connector, and if one was sunken in, the tube wouldn't really have to squish. It looks like a solid cartridge holder, so a cast, and affixed very well to the main body. My thoughts are pins and glue or screws, either way you'd need some solid material in there, and that kinda complicates any hose connector that might be in there.

Also, I did a little test video to share my theory, and it sorta worked

Alright, I've made a few of these and here's a secret I found: Ventilator "circuit" tubing is commonly available in a 22mm (3ft) length. That's pretty darn close to what we're looking for, and the best part is, it's sold as "disposable" so it's affordable. It's the correct diameter, look, and it has straight ends.
You have to do some digging to find it. I still have 3 tubes from the bunch I got from Ebay:
