Being 6'4 with shoes on and 6'5 with boots.. I'm guessing this costume would look great on me. Hm. HA. Yeah, talking about me.

Back on topic the face opening like that is amazing! I LOVE how the eyes light up as soon as it closes too! What exactly activates it to open or close that way? Do you press a button on your fingers or clench your jaw? What activates it to open and close? Great work! Great costume!

I'm interested in the opening faceplate as well, as long as the price isn't out of control. :lol

But Capt. Jack didn't wear a suit like this did he? :lol
(side note; you gonna do Depp's outfit from Alice in Wonderland??)

Hey, if he can wear a trooper suit, then why not iron armor? heehee

Unfortunately yes. I've too many people asking me for pieces of the outfit.
While they did an amazing design on all of the wardrobe from that movie, I'm not too thrilled with that uber tranny look he's got going on. :lol
There's a thread in the costuming section for Alice stuff, I've got a pic of a finished hat in there.

Greetings Folks,

It great to be part of the TMP team. For the past couple of years I have been a big fan of all the masterpieces posted here and it's truly an honor to be part of it in some small way. :)

Working at the Fire Station tonight, but wanted to write a few words of thanks and appreciation to John and the TMP team and to express my excitement in this project.

Some of you that have contacted TMP or myself for more info on the Deluxe "Jarvis" Helmet System regarding price, etc. Unfortunately, the components are not cheap. I would say, and John will correct me if I'm wrong, that over 85% of the cost of the helmet is parts. (electronics are NOT cheap as most of you know...just something to keep in mind when the prices are fixed.)

But I guarantee you, speaking from my experience on my TMP/Jarvis Helmet debut on October 31st, the moment you're walking around in the crowd with the visor up and a few gather around for a picture....all focus and looks are on you, then BANG! While all eyes are on you, you touch the stratigically placed activating switch without them noticing, the visor/jaw slams shut the eyes with almost 2 dozen super-bright LEDs bathes the scene in light. Simultaneously the mic placed inside the front of the jaw piece is activated and the amplified speaker in your chest piece booms out your voice: "Keep the skies clear."

The crowd will roar and go wild. The coolest sound in the world is hearing the jaws drop on the ground. At that very moment, it is truly not a costume anymore. It becomes REAL to people. It is a machine around you. An interactive articulated LIVING machine that you are wearing. And the effect is simply unbelievable. You truly feel like Iron Man. And in your helmet you smile ear-to-ear, because you ARE Iron Man.

OK...sounds kind of cheesy, but it's true. You really do hear Ozzy singing in your head!

The only negative thing about it is that you have to polish your armor from all the fingerprints. :)

Take good care,

Richie

That's a lot of LEDs! The real movie suit used 5 LEDs per eye. Here's what my suit looks like with only one LED per eye and using reflective material (aka aluminum foil) to spread the light across:

Hehe,

Sounds like a lot, but they're small superbright LEDs. This is the effect I was after. In regular light they are not overpowering, but in low light the eyes and chest piece look like pure energy. Movie Screenshot below:

sorry for the blurred pic, but you can see the bright glow like pure energy.

Below is a picture in normal lighting on a sunny day.
