Tips on removing MR trademark imprint?

I'm considering using an MR Solo blaster (ANH) for a costuming project and was wondering if anyone had suggestions on what I could use to remove the MR trademark, Lucasfilm LTM, and year information on the bottom of the scope.

Anyone have any luck? I did try a touch of paint thinner and some Goo Gone with no luck.

the first thing i did years ago upon receiving my blaster was to clean off the horrible gold "scratches" and place a thin strip of black photographers tape over the copyright. no one has ever noticed it. and my blaster get picked up and played with by everyone who enters my home.

Have you tried fingernail paint remover yet? It doesn't work on everything but it's worked a few times on some metal items that have heat-stamped ink logos.

CA kicker is what I used in the past to remove decals, sharpie markings and trademark/painted on logos. It also plays with paint so try at your own risk.

May be a light sanding of very fine sand paper to remove it if the there is no lighter base coat underneith the main color.

Will these same tips work on an MR saber? I've tried to remove the logos on my ROTS Anakin saber with no luck, although I've only tried lacquer thinner. I don't want to damage the chrome underneath by sanding it.
