Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes

OH MY!
how much are the pins going to be?
and is there going to be a discount for rpf member ;)
really great work om them, if i got them, id have to make a new hat because the hat pins would be too good for it!

in-fact i meant to mention that

the pin is absolutely lovely, and really sturdy, what the hell did you make it from
and its so shinny and new
i decided to use it for the new coat cause since there is no weathering on it the pin should look fancy. so its all laced with ribbon and ready to go

as for the patch im gonna hang onto to that. its a pretty close match
like really close
imma try and hunt down more for commission hats (though ill still have to hand make the little ones)
Thats cool man. Just making sure that you got it. I didn't get delivery confirmation on it so just making sure. Im glad you like it! I made it at work out of a wire hanger and a stone grinder. I have to get mine covered in Ribbon too. Glad you like it!

Look what Simplicity has come out with-

Bought it a couple weeks ago. It's not bad. The front needs some modification and the Hatter details we've come to love are missing big time. STILL it's a GREAT base pattern. I just knew they'd make some kinda of knock off pattern, just like with Wonka.

I've spent the afternoon working on rabbit hole boots :)

Not 100% screen accurate, but I'm quite pleased with how they've come out!
Now the house smells of E6000 and paint-the dog and I need some fresh air :)

Just finished my cuffs! What do ya'll think???

yeah smaller, ive been messing with my cuff pattern since i finished the brown coat
im pretty positive my red coat will have proper sizes cuffs

what did you use for the red detail?

I used red yarn trippled up. I worked out nice but all hand stitching took forever!!! But I love the way they came out. The cuffs are 4 inches in width and I have a fairly big hand so these look good in comparison. I think I am going to weave some of that furry yarn through it to make it look fluffier and I will be finished with that. All in all. I love the way they look so far! the squiggle pattern was the hardest part.

ahhh i see

for my cuffs i used grosgrain ribbon doubled up and frayed, then used a fluffy chenille like yarn, folded it 5 times and put that in-between the 2 frayed sides
then i used the same yarn to stitch it into place
and you can see how that turned out

Went to FIDM today to do some more rabbit hole research and they were having a "scholarship sale".
They were selling lots of FIDM branded merch, as well as student made samples, and supplies.
They were also selling trims and fabrics used in the classrooms last semester
:)

I came across, and decided to buy, this daisy trim.
It was $8 for the roll, and I don't know how many yards are on it yet.

I figured that all of you doing the Um dress, looking for daisies, could use it, cutting the daisies, and tacking them to satin ribbon.

I'll figure out how many yards are on the roll, and divide that by 8 to figure out the price per yard.
I'm guessing there are 10+ yards on the roll.

Then if anyone would like the trim for their dresses, I'll send it off for the price per yard (just to cover my cost) plus shipping :)

Does anyone have a deent shot of the back of Hatter's coat? I'm trying to work out the accuracy of the back vent. Better yet, does anyone have pics of what they did?? And what color lining are people using for the blue coat? I'm assuming blue, but I can't find any strong reference. Thanks!!!

Thanks! I really appreciate it! I just can't find any good reference shots. I figured you guys would b my best source for advice! Thanks again!
