ThunderCats 2011

I really enjoyed the series opener. I believe the series (fingers crossed) has a lot of potential. I'm looking forward to more. Hopefully the show doesn't get pulled after season 1.

I'm hoping interest level for this series will be high enough to warrent a feature film. Thundercats is one of the last few great 80s cartoons that have yet to get the live-action feature treatment.

I just realized that the king in the one hour premier is the original lion-o's voice actor.

And he still sucks! :lol Very unnatural reads, although not as bad as before.

Have watched 2/3 of the premiere on Dailymotion, will finish it tomorrow. Pretty darn ok, although Snarf making faces to his reflection was really annoying and unnecessary. Also don't give a crap about kit and cat. And there's a lot of unnecessary dialogue explaining the obvious, but most American-produced TV animation is like that.

The lizard people remind me of the Rankin-Bass design for Gollum.

Ah come one, at least TC 2011 is an improvment. Snarf isn't the nerving nanny talking critter and Kit and Kat are actually more cute.

Yes, it is an improvement in every way. I'm not yet convinced it's enough of one to make me a devoted viewer. I'll keep watching for now.

I loved the hour episode.....this past Friday's....eh...

I also noticed that this Lion-O's voice is the same actor that voiced "Terry McGuinnes" in Batman Beyond.

My friend pointed out that the new snarf acts exactly like Ryo ohki from the Tenchi Muyo anime down to the sounds he makes. The actor who played the 80s lion o is from the old cartoon acting school that always seemed over the top. Turns out the new lion o is also on a tv show called Boy Meets world and has a ton of voice acting credits. I liked the designs of the tanks and mechs.

Does anyone know when this is on CN in UK?

Ive checked fridays, but got nothing on the planner :( Is it USA only for now?

Plaese help :(

Arrghh! I hate and love you Thundercats 2011! I love your touching episode "Song of the Petlars" But I hate you for cutting off at the best moment when you show Panthro!

Last nights was again...eh,...for me. The ending was great as soon as I saw the Thunder-tank. Panthro being introduced will hopefully get a little dirction in the story going. I guess Lion-O being so distraught about the loss of his father has just had him wandering aimlessly for the first two episodes.

Looking forward to next week!
