The Wolverine

Who on here is going dressed up with claws? This day and age, I thought about calling the movie theatre ahead of time to let them know that a Wolverine with claws would be coming considering what happened last year at TDKR...Thoughts?

Called REGAL about The Wolverine & bringin' claws. They said it's fine and normally people Cosplay at the premere's all the time. It's perfectly ok as long as you don't wear a mask...
Claws Approved By Manager And Encouraged. *SNIKT*

"I hated the last WOLVERINE movie (origins) but the new one is great. THE WOLVERINE is the Wolverine movie I've been waiting for"

"Movie has great characters, a solid script, & doesn't feel like a comic book movie till the 3rd act. So much better than u think it would be"

If I weren't having truck problems, I would be seeing this in theaters. I'm willing to hold out for the blu-ray though and will be closer to the release of Days of Future Past which I should be able to see in theaters hopefully. All the clips I've seen have won me over and many reviews coming in certainly make it seem like it isn't another wreck like Origins. So tempted to find out what the after credits scene is, but I will try to hold off.

lol You picked only the 2 negative ones out of the amount of how many positive ones? One thought it was better than MOS and another felt like James Bond

I don't understand. I came across this one and posted only one person's positive reaction, both lines are positive tweets about the new movie from the same person. Where did I mention the negative ones in my post? I am confused.

I wonder if they're going to somehow tie this in with Days of Future past as a lead in of some sort at the end. The tv commercial sure gives away alot when you suddenly see Famke Janssen.

I'm still trying to wrap my mind as to why Kenuichio Harada is jumping around on rooftops with a bow in one of the movie featurettes.

The one thing I would absolutely love to see, even if it's an after credit scene or something similar, is the appearance of Shiro Yoshida, AKA: Sunfire. He is, afterall, Harada's and Mariko's cousin.

I'm really looking forward to this one, didn't see the last one(s) but I definitely want to see this one. I'd love to get copies of the posters but on something like watercolor paper instead of the usual glossy stock they're normally printed on. I really think that the posters would look totally awesome on some sort of textured paper to go along with the brushed look of the artwork.

They are.

After credit scene for The Wolverine

Wolverine is walking through an airport two years after the events of the movie and all the metal detectors start going haywire with paper clips and **** flying everywhere. He turns around to find Ian McKellen's Magneto standing there. Magneto warns him of an enemy looking to destroy Mutants by building machines (this is directly following a Trask reference so it's probably Sentinels) and asks Wolverine to join him in defending his kind. Wolverine says no and asks why he should even consider it, when all the police and civilians gathered around them freeze and Patrick Stewart as Prof X wheels into frame and says something generic. Cue credits

That's the one thing they're doing right with the Fox xmen films: they have a timeline to them and all tie together.

To an extent because the First Class people don't line up with Wolverine Origins. Like Emma Frost's character age difference, same with how Scott Summers meets everyone. Plus at the end of Last Stand the Prof transferred his mind into another body. Not unless they do some crazy alt timeline stuff.

This was after the new Wolverine trailer footage was shown.

EricVespe: Hugh Jackman just pulled Len Wein out of the audience to thank him for his career. #Classy

Days of FP is an alternate future. That is how comic book, Dragon Ball Z and other craps futures work.

Future guy travels back in time to change that futures future. But can not stop his own future from happening because his future had already happened.

So Bishop going back would be to stop that pasts future from being like his present. But his time line would still be fracked up. Hope that helps ;)

I think everyone sorta disregarded Origins because of its non canon stuff (Jackman himself said it could've been better) Like how Logan's hair is near shoulder length throughout ww2 in Origins, and then flashbacks off ww2 in The Wolverine show it as the shorter style. And how old Stryker is on Origins and he's aged so much in X2 (its still said to be 15 years even in X2) And of course the whole Sabretooth look and claw difference between Origins and X1. Wolverine doesn't remember 99.9% of Origins so you can say none of it happened anyway haha. (I know that's the case for some people already)

I like that in The Wolverine we get over the whole "who am I & where do I come from" side of Wolverine and move forward to explore other things. I'm still pretty stoked about The Wolverine coming out in less tthan a week WOOHOO! But the DOFP news is really has me wanting that movie out already, until then I'll enjoy The Wolverine for the next year or so
