Ya know …. Possibly go into a chat with a live rep (not a bot) from Alibaba com, or AliExpress or Made-In-China etc and let them know your looking for part number W L24G1032-A1…LCD-TFT module….perhaps might be able to upload the pic of the entire number and the pic of the just the logo for them to see…..all they can say is No…but if they say yes…then that’s a gain.

When you can…..can you post the exact dimensions width, length, and diagonal sizes of the lcd screen itself….not the surrounding module cover, bezel, etc…..

The diagonal measurement is crucial….. I’ve seen diagonal offerings…..2.0, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, 2,5 inches.etc.

Perhaps by the exact dimensions, it will help to narrow down the many choices on the www.

Does the display have separate power associated connections? Or is it the solely 24 pin FPC?

People pointed out to TWC that when the original prop was made white bulbs did not exist. If the original prop had been lit they would have used a bulb that had a warm white/amber glow so ended up switching to that.
Since it was never lit you could say it doesn't really matter what colour they chose but they wanted to keep it in the 60s prop style.
I personally didn't think this mattered. The technology that's in the trike didn't exist in the 60s and there was no light on it to begin with and given that it was based on a futuristic piece of equipment the light being white wouldn't have mattered, like I said it's my personal opinion but I preferred it the way it was.

Here’s a what may be a typical baseline pin assignments for LCD TFT 24 pin Displays (I sampled two different companies, of more, and two different part numbers) in general…..

Bare in mind pins are renameable according to the user’s (Wand) needs as well as directed functionality.

Wand would have taken the D’s (data bits) and distributed them as Red Green Blue assignments…LCD_R7…LCD_B7…LCD_G7 and so on…..according to the tables of the ARM chip..

Are you still game to do a pin to pin continuity test…to verify the tables for the ARM signals to the 24 pin connector?

Btw…the display module should not be plugged to the connector since going from the pins on the connector to the ARM pins is all that’s needed…if the Display Module is connected …erroneous results may occur.

So far with the two easiest signals I can see……here’s a way to record the point a to b….pins. Essentially your creating a visible schematic between the ARM’s LTDC and the 24 pin connector….

Looks simple enuf - I will give it a go in a day or 2 when I can stand to go back to it.

And I agree that hooking to this display is a dead end.
But that doesnt mean Im quitting. It just means I need a new display.

Hopefully you’ve got good eyes….or a magnifier or a microscopic…..with SMD multi pin IC (in this case 144pins @ 36 pins per side) flat packs, it’s easy to lose track of the pins being tested. Just remember where pin 1 is on the ARM and start the count goin in the counter clockwise direction… ;)

Btw…in further tearing down the Tric….did you come across anymore Engineering Symbols in addition to what’s already been found?

Well I didnt really find it because it can be seen in the tear-down video, but he doesnt mention it, so heres a better look:

This is behind the 3 buttons/lights. He didnt remove this one and I dont blame him. I think to get it out you would need to separate the aluminum front from the plastic housing, and Im sure there held together with some double-sided tape or adhesive. Too much work to remove it just to see the whole thing IMO
