The Wand Company TOS Tricorder is coming!

Now Dr Evil is punishing me for not using his crappy service for 5 years.

Yup… The Wand Co. said the first run is complete. They said they “may” have a second run if Shop Star Trek interest shows the demand is there.
I hope there's another run soon so everyone who purchased tricorders for the sole purpose of reselling them on eBay has to eat the cost. The availability window on these has been way too short.

If theres anyone in the US that still wants a tricorder, there is the option of using a service like forward2me or maybe shipito that will accept the package from AmazonUK and then forward it to a US address. I have never used one personally so i dont know what the process is or how much it costs, but its an option.
Yeh I use something similar. Stackry is handy when something won't ship directly to me from U.S. or the postage is through the roof.

Are the 18650 batteries in the trike flat top, button top or tab? I'm in work and I can't check
Didn't look when I had the back open lol

There are no excuses. Wand’s sales and marketing team should’ve been working in tandem throughout the later stages to ensure preparedness. This entire process has been incredibly frustrating, especially during what should have been a joyful time! What a shame :(
Just a thought maybe they did and no major retailers wanted the Tric

Remember the comms and Phasers were in the bargain bin at best buy

Here's a battery that was recommended by a member on TFW. Nitecore NL1840HP 4000mAh Rechargeable 18650 Battery . I ordered one. A little pricey but supposed to be top quality .

Chris Barnardo of Wand sent the following message on July 26, 2025: "I am afraid the Star Trek Shop sold out very quickly. The Stock was available on IGN Store for over 14 hours, but has sold through. We have finished manufacturing the first wave but there is still some stock making its way on to Amazon and we will be sending out another invite and turning the Amazon listing back on this coming Tuesday (29th July) at 4pm UK time, when we have about another 700 units ready to be ordered. After that the Star Trek Shop will be collecting “tell me when it is back in stock” registrations on its website and we will use those numbers to workout whether or not we should do another manufacturing run. If we do another manufacturing run it will take about eight weeks and then we will have to decide how to ship them, sea or air, which will add a few more weeks to the time it takes to get the Tricorder back in stock."

Interesting that we haven't seen any updates past 26-July on the Tricorder blog thread. I imagine they have turned comments off?

Does this thread represent the sole discourse for this prop on the wider internet? I keep hearing of a Facebook group but not sure which one...there are so many Trek fandom groups.

I just posted a question on the Tric Blog and it took. We’ll see if Chris responds.

I’m on four different Trek groups on FB. Three of them cover the tricorder a lot, one not so much.
