So, the Wand Company tricorder has way more features, and is being sold for less money (especially taking inflation into account) than the MR. I’d call that a great deal!

$399 in 2005 (if I am correct in remembering the year MR released theirs) is over $500 now.

Some folks need to take a page from Spock's book and inject some logic into this situation.
