Speaking of the old games like that, anyone play Empire on NES? I have it, and its quite hard. I got to where you fight the Slave 1 while in Luke's X-wing, but couldn't beat that part. (54:46 in this video) You end up blowing his ship up and saving Han....remember that part of the movie??? lol

And the better yet equally hard game.

I remember renting both of these back when they appeared in Nintendo Power magazine.

I completely missed those Nintendo SW games. I understand missing the SNES versions (I had Genesis), but I have no idea why I never knew about the others!

The Super Star Wars games for SNES were no joke and didn't play around. They are some hard games....Empire has this long code that lets you do all kinds of fun stuff....unlimited thermal detonators, extra lives, sound test...but the best part, is the opening crawl, which was mode 7 graphics, with both controllers you can move it around, warp it and make it look all weird.

The SUPER Poyozo Dance featuring the girls from both Final Fantasy 6 and Chrono Trigger. That would be a sextuplet tech, which doesn't quite roll off the tongue like, triple tech....but this one is way more powerful....lol. (and I just realized this took me over 4 hours to put together.) (and since its looped, the music does as well....but I just wanted to be done with this)

So that first Spider-Man game from 2018, ai actually got it 2019 and just never got around to playing it...until now.
Decided might as well. Glad it works on the PS5, as I hear the load times were much slower on PS4.
Reminds me of the Batman Arkham games. Similar style of combo fighting. With that game, and most being on the PS3, if you died, it took SO long to reload.
Some hard fights were quite annoying.
Glad to play this game on the PS5 for that reason alone.
And...I found the best part of the game...a gaming store next to a coffee shop...lol.

In playing this game, theres a part towards the end, where a biological weapon is released onnthe city, so everyone is wearing masks and lining up to get help.
Its very ironic that it came out a year and a half before covid hit, yet its quite similar in game.

Yeah, Spiderman PS4 is great, one of the best PS4 exclusives (although now out on PC). Also a rare open world game with a great story.

It was released in 2018 and so the story was written pre COVID.

So I just beat the game a bit ago. Really good and rivals the movies easily.
Starting over with New Game + on the hardest mode.
I also found the Ghostbusters firehouse...love how they added that with the fake Silmer graffiti in the back, so they didn't have to get the actual copywrite for it.
So I took this.

Agreed. I would actually argue the story is better than the movies, especially the ending providing a direction for development that we dont really get because Marvels editorial board has to always return its heroes back to the status quo. Spiderman is in an interesting time where its source material (the comics) arguably has the worst adaptation of its character compared to its movies and video games (see Paul).

Also, one week away.

Sony also having a new State of Play Jan 31st with 15+ games to be shown in including more in depth looks a Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, Stellar Blade and Rise of Ronin. The best part is I go on a month long vacation from work just in time for some of these to release.

Just finished playing through Tactics last week.
And FF7, which actually came out in America on September 7th, 1997, was definitely a big win for Sony.
My brother had the Playstation, while I had the N64, which we both got Christmas 1996. But, it didn't take long for me to end up liking the PS games more. With Wipeout, Twisted Metal 1 and 2, Tekken, and then FF7....and more. I only even owned 4 N64 games back then, which didn't even include Goldeneye, as my friend had it, so I just barrowed his copy.

I've been making a whole lot of pictures for my Final Fantasy 6 FB group.
This one I made like two months ago already and anyone thats played FF6 will get the reference.
Sabin, who can normally only suplex normal enemies, but theres the one train boss where he can also suplex. I really think it was a mistake in their coding, but its now become such a meme type thing, even the new pixel remasters let you suplex the train....although they renamed the move as, Meteor Strike.... I like Suplex better.

So now I started mixing Final Fantasy 6 and Chrono Trigger for some fun cross over memes. I can't believe how many likes I've gotten over the past few days from all these....probably several thousands between a FF6 and Chrono Trigger group. Its nuts....lol.

Poor Edgar is always trying to be the ladies man....just most all woman in his world totally ignore him...that is until he found this secrete club from Final Fantasy 4.....oh boy......(even though all they do is a basic dance, I'm surprised Nintendo allowed that back in the early 90s with how strict their censorship was....some parts did still get a bit censored....weird Japanese humor I guess)

I ended up having to watermark it with my name, as some people started reposting it. So a few others called them out, since they weren't even giving credit....so then they did, and put the wrong person...Not even sure how that happened. So a watermark of some kind it is.

Arrgghhhh....too many games, can't keep up. Between games, movies, shows, my own projects and work (once I find a job again), there is just never enough time. I can't even imagine having kids.

I find maybe one or two games a year now that are even of a little interest to me. I miss the mid-late 90s where everything was new (FPS, RTS, etc.). Then the ones I think look awesome and buy, Starfield..., end up being awful.

Damn, woke up this morning to X exploding. Looks like MS becoming 3rd party publisher, service provider and software developer could be happening sooner than the 2027 prediction. MS looks like it may be bowing out of the hardware market soon, with a big announcement coming in the spring from Sarah Bond.

An entire slew of Xbox exclusives are about to be announced going multi platform including Starfield and flagship series Halo, Hi Fi Rush, Sea of Thieves, Indiana Jones, etc.

One insider has reported MS has already received PS5 Pro development kits already to begin transitioning.

Many speculating the Blizzard Activision buyout may have been the catalyst for this as MS has yet to gain any financial traction from the purchase and instead laid off thousands across dev studios.
