The Ultimate Ben Obi-Wan Kenobi Real Vintage Parts Lightsaber Group

Thank you!

I was debating on getting it painted, but me personally it would take away from the originality of this grenade. I know it’s not 100% accurate for how rusted it is, but I’m sure if the prop was still around, it would be rusted too. :)
I am glad you left it as is. Thank you for sharing M

My Real Found Part Obi-Wan Journey is complete.
I’m very excited to have this assembled and in hand, it is such an amazing feeling.

I went for a Chronicles Style and boy did it surpass my expectations.

It goes without out saying how excited I am. I just wanted to give a huge thanks to everyone in the community, and for those that helped me source, those who sold me the parts, and helped me with my questions on this journey, you know who you are

Here are the glam shots, although pictures don’t do this justice.
I don't think this is rust. Take a closer look when you have time. I thought mine was rusted to hell and it turned out to be light brown paint. This looks like yellow paint.

It seems to have been very common to use brown, tan, red, yellow paints to label ordnance inert in the UK.

Ok I’ll have to examine it further

Indeed well done EvanESB ... here's how your Obi-Wan lightsaber will be added to my new Picture Index :

Recently picked up this Female Balance pipe to swap out my Converted Male on my Real Parts.

It was/is quite heavily corroded and had a dented emitter. I spent some time over the weekend straightening it all out and cleaning off the surface corrosion with some mild cleaner. Whatever was sat on that surface for 70 odd years was clearly not nice stuff.

Would love a nicer specimen but this was a good opportunity!

Hi all. New here, allow me to break all of your hearts with my first post.

(this is not the one from my junkyard post, it's a different one) - Here's the condition of my cotton co. windvane. broken windvane, broken dreams. Luckily I work at a jewellers and we reckon we should be able to foot weld this back together, as it is a clean break.. I'll let you all know how this turns out.

Mine is also broken. I repaired mine with a small copper rectangle cut from flat sheet stock JB Welded to the backside.
