Well, I am on the last couple days before I have to call it "good enough" for the party next weekend. after tomorrow i won't have a chance to work on the room for three weeks!!!!cry:cry

After today's assessment I figure I am about 65% done. So back in November when I thought there was no way I wouldn't be finished . . . well if I had a time machine I would go back and slap myself stupid:behave

But today I fired up some of my down lights, and I was pretty excited. The lighting changed the look of the room completely, and even my wife said, "Brian, I can't believe I am saying this, but that is pretty cool . . . even for a geek."

At any rate, i hope to have a good day tomorrow, getting the remaining ceiling pieces up, and filling in a few holes around the room. If I am lucky I will even get the window, and two doors painted :confused

Thank you guys for taking the time to watch this build, I really appreciate the encouragement and kind words!

I am missing a couple down lights here, but I will have them up tomorrow

looks outstanding mate, i love coming to this thread and playing spot whats been stuck to the wall today, you really have captured the SW feeling, we need a video tour when your happy with the results

That's really coming together now. I don't know about you, but when things start to look the way I had imagined them at the start, then I find renewed energy and momentum really picks up.

You're absolutely right man, after I cranked the lights on yesterday evening I pushed till 12:30 in the morning. I was a bit too pumped to quit!

The lights really give it that final dimension and when the wife admits it's cool you're obviously doing something right!

I would totally do the same thing with hanging those poster pictures but it's a shame it doesn't really fit with the look. Maybe custom frames would help them blend in more?

Thanks man, I'm glad folks like you get a kick out of it. Someday when its done maybe I'll host a Denver area prop party and have you guys over :confused

Great minds think alike bud, my wife and I were talking about that very thing last night. I intend all along to put them there, but they are certainly missing something. I didn't have time today to fix the issue, but I have a pretty cool idea that will certainly tie them into the room. unfortunately for now, and the upcoming weeks, they'll have to stay that way.

alright kids, here she is. Of course its no where near completion, (I made a list:cry) but it will have to do for now. I don't have any of the lighting wired up, most of the ceiling is missing, the back wall is a mess, but it should look pretty cool for next weekend.

The chairs are an ongoing conversation at home. I haven't made any firm decisions on them yet, but that is certainly one thought.
