Hi, I haven't decided which costume to enter, and was wondering if this photo would be able to cover both potential entries if i can get a writeup done in time.

One of them is on a dummy, and the other is on a mannequin that's a huge pain in the butt to put on for the proof photo

Link doesn't send me to a picture, just an "enter" page. If the proof pic is of you with both costumes then it's valid for whichever one you end up entering.

I also tried to post to the gallery and it didn't work. Hmmm....

EDIT: I tried 2 more times and got it to work.

A lot of people seem to be having trouble. Glad you got it working.

I tried posting a pic in the gallery but it doesn't seem to be working. I'll check later, maybe there's some kind of delay?

You have to "process" your photo:

Ah, well I figured out what the deal was with uploading pics to the gallery. Turns out, after you initially submit your photo, it goes into a "pending" queue, where you have to finalize and "process" it. After I discovered that, the photo popped right up in the gallery.

Two things:

1. My submission is of both of my kids. It could qualify for either group or kids. Up to you to decide which I suppose?

If you're submitting them together they have to go as a group. If you would like them in the kids area you can enter them separately. There are no groups allowed in the kids section (unfair advantage with double the cute! :lol).

2. I posted a proof pic with just their masks as they are both in school at the moment. Is this acceptable, or do you still want a pic of them in costume with the proof sign as well?

The rules state that they have to be in costume (or at least with the costume) but this is one that I'm being fairly lenient on as it's the first year provided the admin are satisfied that it is indeed yours. If you can get a shot of them that would be great but this should be fine if you can't.

Could it be your browser? If you can, try it in a few different ones. ie: Firefox, Explorer, Chrome, etc.

Make sure you have a complete entry. I'll be going around trying to help folks but the onus is on you to make sure that you qualify. You need:

- Build thread that I can find. "username's costume contest entry 2012" is a perfect way to make sure I'll find it.

- Proof photo.

- Picture in the gallery here: 2012-10 - Halloween Costume Contest - the RPF Gallery

I posted a picture in the gallery and made what I hope is an ok build thread. I guess they are considered to be in the group category since it is my son and daughter Can you please verify I did everything correctly so my entry doesn't get disqualified? Thank you!

Amazing costumes as always Fev I think you should enter the Aveline costume for this one it's just so fantastic, granted they both are. Or the Ezio I can't decide either :lol Though if you enter the Aveline it'll be in the female catagory so my lame Altair will still have a shot :behave Kidding I'm already 100% sure I wont win with all the wonderful costumes everyone has made between the Earth Worm Jim, Dead Pool, etc The other Altair is always pretty awesome I can't compare, the Ezios are snazzy and the Connor is awesome the Iron Man armors are breath taking then there is the scarlet spider and legolas and all the others

After like 5 tries my pic finally made it into the gallery. There is definitely something buggy happening there as it wouldn't upload the pic, it was just giving me an "upload successful" message without that being the case.

Added a better proof pic to my thread with kids in costume.

And since they are a duo, yes please enter them together in the group section.

Though if you enter the Aveline it'll be in the female catagory

Not sure if you're joking but just to clarify if the entrant is male it's still considered a "mens" category costume.

Same goes if a female dresses up as a male character. :thumbsup

I was joking winning or loosing doesn't matter to me seeing all the costumes and having fun is more then enough. As for how the category's work I thought it was by if the character was male or female cause I thought I saw a few females in male costumes and males in female costumes in the male section.

Sadly I have no idea what the gender is for most members. If someone sees that they're in the wrong section let me know!

Perhaps I'm missing something…I posted my costume entry in the gallery yesterday, and I still haven't seen it. I did complete my thread post, but I was wondering did I miss a step and that's why it hasn't shown up yet. Any help will be appreciated
