Latest I found. As of 2 days ago. No mention of Krasinksi thank god. Saying this Mike Vogel guy is the frontrunner. He is of three (including Krasinski and Chace Crawford) that are worth of mention as rumored contenders on IMDB.

However, I am with a large number of you on Ryan McPartlin. That would be awesome. No pun intended.

I would have preferred someone like Ryan Reynolds.. I still hope Reynolds gets The Flash movie, this is one character he has always wanted to do..

One thing's for sure. Weaving knows how to rock a masqued character. Look at his performance in V for Vendetta. I expect good things.

Yeah, Ryan Reynolds is doing Green Lantern. He was in the running - excuse the pun - for starring in a Flash movie but I think that project fell apart for a while. I don't know where they're at with it right now but I very much doubt Ryan Reynolds will wind up doing it. There has been talk of a Deadpool movie and I have little doubt he's signed for Green Lantern sequels. So I'd be very, VERY surprised if he got offered a role as the Flash at this point. He's got too many other proverbial "irons in the fire."

He is the second guy in this picture, and stars in Human Target.

He even has military experience! He is getting a bit old (45), but I see Cap as one of the older, more experienced Avengers anyway. I think he looks perfect, but I don't know if he has the acting chops to pull it off.

So with the 1Mil+ actors in the U.S they can't find a suitable actor for the lead role? How about go for a unknown. Maybe look internationally. Weaving is Australian & the female lead looks like it may go to a British actress.

I remember when they didn't think Mr. Moonlighting Bruce Willis would be able to play a believable action role in Die Hard. They thought Die hard was going to be ruined by him.

I'm told that Marvel has also made an approach to Channing Tatum.

It'll come down to Marvel making an offer, and Tatum either accepting it or rejecting it. But he is definitely in the mix, along with other confirmed candidates that include Fantastic Four's Chris Evans, Cloverfield's Mike Vogel and Tron Legacy's Garrett Hedlund, and Generation Kill's Wilson Bethel. Reports have Ryan Phillippe also vying for the job.

I'll take Krasinksi over this guy... he couldn't act his way out of a paper bag.
