Interested in both book and amulet. Is there no way the actual book can be printed inside? Maybe satisfy copyright concerns by buying and destroying one paperback book per book printed within these covers?

We're doing this as part of a bulk run, so they'll all be leather. Doing them in pleather won't really save much money in the end as most of the cost will be in the custom metal parts and the assembly.

Outstanding. The color and texture is perfect!
Will the pages be rough-edged (not sure the technical term) like the real prop?

I'm pretty sure the NES1 book is smooth cut, while the NES2 book might have rough cut pages.

I'll look into it. Unfortunately, most deckle edge paper is quite rough, whereas the edge on this book is relatively subtle. We don't want it to end up looking like this, in my opinion:

What Trooper Trent posted above looks very close, in that the side cut is rougher than the cuts on the top/bottom edges of the paper. You can easily see this detail in the caps above of the screen-used books.

Indy, can you confirm that you will be using brass for the metal pieces? It looks like you can force a tarnish on them, polish the tarnish off the high spots (especially of the corner pieces), and then coat them in lacquer or wax to maintain the correct semi-tarnished look of these pieces as seen on screen.

We'll be casting all the metal pieces in an alloy with an antique plating to match the original finish as close as possible. I'll post more on this as we get closer to finishing those pieces.
