The Mandalorian (TV series)

I ask that people take note of the deadly accuracy of the storm troopers when the raiders are trying to storm the bridge. :p

No reason why you have to lug a rifle around with you. It's not like you wouldn't be recognized as Boba Fett without one and no reason why you can't say you (as Fett) simply decided to leave it behind, for whatever reason, for this particular op (con). Or, I know this is probably heresy here, but you could break away from absolute screen accuracy and add a sling and then wear it slung, only breaking it out for photo ops.

Yup. I may have to see how it goes. also thinking more that doing something different would give me room to expand. I do like the new boba fett, and I do find it a bit more appealing than the original fett costumes. But if I do some other more custom mandalorian, I've got room to tweak and expand based on what I like.

I'll see how it goes this season. if they don't feed fett into a wood chipper at some point in episode 8, I'll probably start working on one.

First episode of season 2 almost put me off of this show for good. Something just rubbed me the wrong way. However the other episodes have had something that kept me interested or made me chuckle. Now we get all the stormtroopers saluting. That just pulls me right out of it again. When did stormtroopers or mandalorians ever salute?

BTW, how many times have Imperial installations been broken into with the old "Let's use captured armor and sneak in" trick?!?! You'd think this far down the line they would be onto it!

I don’t think he’s supposed to be likeable, but he was actively off putting for me in his initial appearance and a bit in this episode before he really has some good content to work with. The episodes with him always just feel a little loose.

You literally can't stop yourself from commenting, on everything, in multiple threads, all the time, with multiple replies.

I don't know you and you seem a decent fellow, so I assume you are. But, also, if I found out you were actually 13 years old I wouldn't be surprised either, based on how you post on the RPF.

People like you just make this no fun.

I am out.

Take care all.

Can I just say I loved the shot showing Slave I rotating from the interior? It was just a great shot seeing the cockpit moving.
That's a "belowdecks" interior portion. Later in the episode, you see Boba laying flat on his back in the pilot seat while the ship is grounded. I was quietly pleased they made sure the cockpit is fixed. I kinda like they gave that "lounge" the place of the old "lower crew seats" from the filming miniature. I'm still mildly annoyed they got the cockpit console wrong. In the last episode and this one, it's in its AOTC configuration, rather than its ESB configuration.

I like more and more the implication that style of Imperial helmet is ISB. Makes me wonder about the Shoretroopers, as well. We know the Deathtroopers are. But in Rogue One, the ISB -- under Krennic -- were scrounging kyber crystals on Jeddha. They seemed to be running the data facility on Scarif, too. And I feel like, if you take most of the faceplate off, you'd have a "movie style" version of Kallus' helmet from Rebels. Because, here, it was the Rogue One tank/AT-ACT driver helmet on "mudtrooper" infantry armor.

I liked the reference to Operation: Cinder. I do not like that the General said "What's your TK number." *sigh*

My favorite easter egg, though, has got to be the century tank -- aka TIE crawler -- revealed as we round the corner as Cara and Mayfield approach Slave I.

...so is this now a continuity error? His battle damaged/Sarlac damaged jetpack and helmet were in the ROTJ paint scheme, but his "fresh repaint" is now the ESB paint scheme(?!)
I dunno. His helmet repaint got rid of the killstripes, but he kept the mythosaur badge on his left shoulder. And his gauntlets are still the ROTJ gauntlets in ROTJ color. Me, I prefer the green pack. Looks a lot better with the rest of the armor than the clown-color ROTJ pack. :)

I would say 50s. It's been 30 years since ROTS, and he's 10-12 in AOTC

edit: okay so maybe high 40s, because AOTC is 22 years before ANH, and Mando is 9 years post.

The scene with Mayfeld and Din having drinks with the officer reminded me of the bar scene from Inglorious Basterds. The tension was palpable. Great stuff there.

This was absolutely my favorite episode of the season. Great momentum, great character work, and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I really want this Rick Fumyama guy to write more episodes.

I think it’s funny that I’ve seen in different places, not necessarily here, that people are considering this a “filler” episode. Aside from the fact that a filler episode can still be good, I consider anything that doesn’t advance, deepen, or re-examine the character to be “filler”, even if it advances the plot.

And even not having seen Inglorious Basterds, but having seen a few select scenes, that was my first thought too about the Imperial officer.

Can someone fill me in on what “ISB” is? I just took it as some unimportant designation like TK, but some people here are talking like it means something.
