I think its a suitable vehicle,. Vader & Kylo have their TIE's.....Needa had a TIE,....maybe Moff Gus is just cool with slumming it with his Stomies.....plus the Empire is gone & perhaps theres no grand shuttles left

I thought Captain Needa flew to Executor in a shuttle, not a TIE. I'll double check. Vader and Kylo had roles more in line as military combatants than civilian administrators, as Moffs are. Force users in the Empire (and subsequently the First Order) were allowed to do pretty much whatever they wanted (though technically, Vader did answer to Tarkin in IV)
This guy also commands a bunch of Death Troopers, so I can see him being a little more hands on as far as Moffs go.
Krennic commanded Death Troopers, too. And he was kind of a coward.
Then again, Thrawn commanded Death Troopers, and he went hands on a bit as well.
The difference being Directors and Moffs are civilians, with honorary military ranks. Assistant Director Ronen (sp?), from the third Thrawn novel, was a civilian, but held the honorary rank of Colonel due to his position working on a military program.
I'm not saying Moff Gideon Fring, shouldn't be flying a TIE, especially if it's not a run of the mill TIE. It's still bad ass. The situation may not have warranted a shuttle, or it was used to drop the troop carrier full of Stormies.
I kinda want to see just how much the Imperial Remnant still has. Gideon's troops were clean and polished and well equipped, whereas the Client's troops were dirty and run down. The concept art in Ep 3 showed Herzog's imps missing pieces of their armor, and were even lesser equipped than what was on screen and filmed.
Waiting till the 27th is going to be torture.
