The Mandalorian (TV series)

Yeah the “Klingon-esque” warrior culture of the Mandalorians wherein they never take their helmets off (right...) and have corny phrases like “THIS is the WAY!” are pretty goofy. I keep waiting for them to proclaim “The Riddle Of Beskar Steel” as the cornerstone of their culture.

Still, I like this show.

Years ago when everyone was making their custom mandos I said they were like the cosplay Klingons of Star Wars.

So it is written, so shall it be done...THIS is THE WAY!

With this show being so good and most everyone is extremely happy with it, I am wondering if this is why they canned the Boba Fett movie. With this series they will hash out prob just about every possible plot point for the Mandalorian which will leave nothing really new for another bounty hunters back story.

I bet when the head of SW disney saw what this is and going to become there is no need or reason for that movie.

I’m more inclined to thing the other wy around. Solo didn’t get the results they expected so they changed the idea for the Boba Fett project and made it just the Mandalorian. Which is something I’m more than happy with, leaves a bit more space for new ideas and it’s at least not something that 100% milks an already established character/event.

I'm waiting for the fan service of - our hero is in a swamp, then- "Watch out! that's a Jastermore Eel, they're meaner than a Sarlaac!"

Prediction time.

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but I predict Ewan MacGregor's Kenobi will save Mando from that battle Droid in the flashback.

That's why he's intrigued by baby yoda.

He only encountered the force once before
Oh hell. I hadn't even thought of Anakin.

I change my answer! I wanna see Hayden!

That doesn't work. They both only exist ethereally, if anything, at this point.

Might have something to do with paying royalties to uncle George for using legacy charachters (think merchandising).

They're talking about the flashback scenes with the Mando as a boy. Its during the Clone Wars, as evidenced by the B2 battle droid and the droid gunship. He gets stuffed in a cellar by his parents who are presumably killed off screen.
It could be anyone who rescues him. Heck, it could even be the Seige of Mandalore that we will see in TCW S7. Might even see a live action Ahsoka Tano.

I'd love to see that... But depending on when the Siege was, Ahsoka might have already left the Jedi Order by then. And if not, she was still only, like, fourteen at the time. I don't want to recast her, and I don't know Ashley could pull that off...

I'd definitely love to see Hayden back. And Ewan's Obi-wan, for that matter. After Satine died in his arms, I can't see any Jedi who'd ha e more of a stake in that.

I’d love it if he was saved by a live action Asoka, with this being Filoni that may just be on the cards too.

Yeah, but again, these fan-service cameos are EXACTLY why the “Star Wars Universe” feels so small. What are the odds, in a galaxy this vast, that he would be saved by yet another “6 degrees of separation from a Skywalker” character?

By that logic, why not just have “You‘ll Be Dead Guy (YBDG)” have yet another useless cameo and save young Mando?

Fans demand to be given something new and different, but simultaneously ask for more of the same characters appearing again, and again.

I’m assuming it’s a member of Yoda’s species that saves young Mando; hopefully not Yoda himself. This would account for why he immediately defended the Yoda baby.

Good opportunity to bring back Yaddle

I like the fact they had clone wars battle droids in the flashbacks as it provided a sense of continuity but to have a major character become involved seems gratuitous. I would rather see someone like that in the back ground of the plot progression, but not as a part of the story. SOmeone he comes across in a dive bar as he goes about his business.

Any reason why The Mandalorian couldn't have been rescued by A Mandalorian? I mean, he's a foundling... someone had to... uh... found him, right? His parents get killed while he's hiding (they're not wearing Mando gear so I guess they're not originally Mandos) and then a Mandalorian finds him and adopts him into the culture.

That seems like the most likely outcome. Would it SHOCK me to see it be done Jedi? Nah. But I expect it to be a Mandalorian. It's just more streamlined.

I've seen it speculated elsewhere that since the family was wearing red robes, the Separatists may have attacked during Life Day, to catch the Mandos off guard.

I think it would make the most sense for him to be rescued by a member of Death Watch, based on their militant attitude, & the suggestion of the heavy Gunner mandalorian being related to Pre Vizla. If his family were members of the pacifist movement, then got caught with their guard down, it'd be motivation enough for him to say that he'd never be in that unprepared condition again.

Although I'd love to see a Jedi in that situation, his previous conversations seem to prove that he has no idea what the Force is, so I'd have to believe that he has had no contact with the Jedi. He's clearly proclaimed the religion he follows, so I think he'd have little time or interest in other 'hokey religions' that almost no one has seen in 30 years.

Question? Where else have we see Separatists Super Battle driods with red eyes? I only recall seeing them with yellow eyes in the clone war movie and the was for one scene if I recall.
