The Mandalorian (TV series)

I've enjoyed it so far. I was hoping to like it, and I really do. This last episode was chocked full of prop blaster goodness. I'm going to have to go back and pause like mad to get a good look at all the hardware.

I caught the super battle droids in the flashback sequence. Were they in the earlier flashback sequence in the first ep?

Slowwww start. Insanely stupid stormtroopers. Cheesy Mando shootout save the day happy music nonsense. Topped with a cheesetastic salute. I was with it until this episode. Guess I'm the minority.

:rolleyes::rolleyes: You could always watch Hannah Montana....LOL!

Aside from that, the part were the Mandalorians saved the day gave me goosebumps.....my Star Wars nerdiness shot up to eleven!!

We do not know much about 'Disney on their backs'- a lot of people are assuming if the mouse is involved then that particular Star Wars project is doomed.
I think what is happening is the difference between the high visibility big budget movie division and the television division.
The stakes are not as high and the show is being allowed to develop the story. I am impressed what they have accomplished so far and I am so glad I have a show which I am looking forward to watching each week (The Orville is the other one)

Then they'd do good to remember that SW became what it was because George basically told the studio suits to go bleep themselves and he was going to do it his way.

I bet the guys at the dented helmet dropped their drinks and went full on nerdgasm at the jetpack scene. Ive been waiting to see that kind of action from a mando since the empire strikes back was in theaters. My wife busted out at laughing at me and handed me a tissue. So awesome.

I could hear my husband squealing with joy and clapping from the other side of the house when this happened.

I'll have to echo 99% of the replies here and say that was freaking awesome.

Loved the western stuff (guy on the roof, shootout), the japanese story bits - there was even some japanese reference in the music at times, when he's walking down the street at one point it was as if the looped in some spurs clanging as he walked. Plus he gets to go full on bad-ass.

Favreau/Filoni for for the win!!

I bet they went nuts during the forge sequence and seeing all of the different Mandos. I bet that lots of them are already busy researching some of those background Mandos as well as taking inspiration from them to make their own. I'm guessing that we're going to be seeing a lot more variation in Mando costumes at upcoming cons. I think that the days of modified and recolored Boba/Jango armor are going to be over soon.

Yes they were but only visible for a second. Hard to catch. But they were there.
Actually, they are not. You saw them in one of the trailers, not in the 1st episode.

Great chapter, my only criticism would have been the cheesey salute, but if it's indeed a reference to the rocketeer I'm cool with it. Definitely feeling the Filoni influence in this, seeing how the mandalorian is developing and how KK praised him in the Q&A they did for the premiere I can see how he's becoming George Lucas heir and rightly so. I'm glad he's doing more real action stuff with mando, it would be great if he took the helm of upcoming films and series, at least from an exec producer standpoint.

I like how sinister the Imperial leader played by Herzog is. He was darker and more threatening than any villain from the Sequels. His Stormtroopers didn't have a chance, but neither did the other bounty hunters. I bet we did't hear the last from him and the other hunters.
