The Mandalorian (TV series)

Where are the rest of the Mandos at this point?
Bas'lan shev'la. "Strategic disappearance/dispersal".

I think we're still only scratching the tip of the iceberg. I'm still keenly aware that Mando was hired to bring the asset in alive (until Herzog allowed for "complications"), but IG-11 was under clear orders to terminate. Does Moff Gideon have a rival trying to deprive him of his prize?

Given how Gideon lit up that place, I’m guessing he doesn’t need the child alive.

Of course given his army of troops, and how badly he wants the baby, it now begs the question; why didn’t he just go where it was hidden and take it himself? Why hire a bounty hunter?

I liked the episode a lot, but am going to have to nitpick about the absolute weirdness regarding the common folks lack of awareness of the Force in Disney Star Wars. It just doesn't make sense, just like how after 30 years after the fact, Rey thought Luke was a myth.

Before anyone tells me how it makes sense; "For over a thousand generations...."

I think this is the result of Palpatines propaganda campaign after the Clone Wars ended/start of his Empire. Jedi and the Force became a taboo subject and history and the narrative was rewritten by the victors.

I think because Imperials no longer control all sectors of the galaxy, and it might draw too much attention.

I thought Mando killed Herzog, not Moff Gideon?

IG11 will be on a rampage. Don't think he's going to take Kuiil's passing very lightly.
Watched it twice. It's a very quick "shot" no pun but just before all heck breaks loose a shot hits Herzog in the back as the Death Troopers opened up.

When Kuiil was working on IG-11 and he was using the microflame welder I thought, someone on this production is a prop nerd. Has that ever been shown outside the OT?

Yes, I was checking to see if it was the same one used in ANH and that I have in my workshop on the shelf... Microflame Miniature Welding Torch -- Butane Micronox...not mine, but there are some in the Junkyard right now!

Re: people not knowing about the Force. At the start of the clone wars, there were around 10,000 Jedi. In a universe with hundreds of systems, each capable of housing trillions of beings. Most people would never have seen a Jedi, much less seen one use their abilities.

Yeah, in the OT people don't believe in the force or the jedi. They all believed it is ancient stories and stuff. I think Kuill will be fine - I bet his mount got shot and they were thrown off and he is just prone. Him and IG-11 gonna bum rush the town along with some Mando clan action I bet.

Really curious about the following:
What is the Imperial interest in baby Yoda, make Sith troopers or something?
What is the fate of Kuiil, I really like his character.

Isn't some aspect of this Chapter relevant to something that occurs in TROS? I thought that was why they released it yesterday, versus the usual Friday air dates.
