The DEFINITIVE TDK Joker Costume Thread/Project

That's an awesome pic! Where did you get it? Don't tell me the DVD or Blueray right? That IS interesting about the sole. Maybe the shoe knife was modded this way and they used it in other scenes?

check out this new coat

yeah most can't well if your a large you can get it for 600 bucks...pretty lame there selling mediums for over 800 bucks.

Sorry bout that! For some reason I thought it wasn't. LOVE how the coat came out. I had to throw on my vintage wool coat today after seeing it.

Hey guys, I'm new here, but I've been working on my Joker for a few months now, here's a pic for my last event on the 31st of October. :

I'm currently putting my V2.0 together, I've got new shoes and my shirt fabric using the Pinder pattern, which I got through Kwally on TDH. I also have new shoes I still need to paint and weather. My main things I want to upgrade next would be the tie (Magnoli, I'm looking at you), the coat, and then the pants. I've been dyeing pants trying to get there, but ruining some in the process. :angel

My make-up job I think deffintly needs a thicker coat of white, and a thicker coat of black on the eyes. I haven't got a chance to redo it sence the Halloween event, so when showing my stuff off, its the newest pic. I have. :confused You can see where the pinkness was showing through just about evrywhere, so I'd realy like to redo it sometime here very soon. :

And Magnoli, would it be possible to modify the pattern used for your Joker coat to have more belled sleeves? And on behafe of some of my friends online, I'm supposed to ask you if there are any other shades of purple wool that could be used for material. I know you can use other colors, so they're wondering if any other purple shades are available.

I realy need to put my make-up and stuff on again here soon, I'd realy like to get the make-up more prefected...

As the coats are made-to-measure, you provide the sleeve width at four different points, so the flare will depend upon the specs you provide. We may be able to get other shades of purple, but we may need to get slightly different fabrics to accomodate...

Kind regards,
Magnoli

Awsome, thats realy good to hear, I'll let them know ASAP.

EDIT - Forgot to post it, but I've also got a few other Joker projects going....

Your makeup came out great and I'm a bit jealous how dead on you go the hair. Great job dude!

LOL, thanks. Those pics. we're from 10/31, and I still haven't had a hair cut, so my hair is actualy even longer now. Its actualy sorta getting in the way now, considering there's no real good way to wear it aside from in Joker fashion. I'm thinking of new ways to wear it, but I don't like the look of any of them...

For anyone doing their own shirt, and wondering about buttons, here's some pics. of the screen used ones, they're preety hard to find good images of considering the tie is always covering them, so I figured I'd post them. :

And one of the vest button just for kicks. :) :

Images also show the fabric texture quite well.

I have one of Indy's great Joker shirts, however watching TDK time and again, I cannot help to notice how much darker the fabric looks on film. This COULD be due to lighting and film processing, but I would like to know if there is anything that can be done to Indy's shirt to give it a less-white look and more dark like we see on film.

Absolutely! Being 100% cotton, this shirt will take ritdye perfectly. Someone recently dyed one of my Blade Runner shirts to darken it and it came out great (and as a bonus it didn't darken the contrast pink stitching).

Kind regards,
Indy

Jodo you should get up to Chicago corner of W. Van Buren st and S. Franklin st look to the east and have someone shoot a couple of pics of you from behind.

I'd love to do that BDA, but its exactly 4 and a half hours away, so its still preety far. :(

P.S. - I'm buying a good mask, so I should have that here soon to boot! :D
