The Book of Boba Fett

Hell, I'm trying to figure out what happened to this guy? He was bad ass. Destroyed Stormies with a hand weapon. Unloaded a serious case of butt whipping.

If Anakin had the highest count of midichlorians ever, then he would not even be able to ignite a saber if that was the case.
Restricting them, that is.
I think we're discussing at cross purposes. :) Prequel Trilogy said that only people with high enough Midi count could use the force and become Jedi. Anakin, obviously falls into this category.

"I" disliked the notion that only a select few, genetically blessed with high midi counts, could wield the force and become Jedi. Everyone else, sorry, you get to stay a moisture farmer for life on the outer rim. :)

Now getting back to the Mando/Darksaber discussion... "I" feel that his inability to effectively fight with it was more a result of his state of mind/emotions, than anything to do with his Midi count. Would having a high midi count help him to wield the blade, because of his connection through the force? Maybe.

I think it's more his state of mind and his attitude. He's mentally fighting "With the DARKSABER... a weapon of legend..." rather than just being in the moment and fighting with his heart/spirit.

Positive attitude and all that affecting him. Just a theory. The other non-Jedi/force wielders who wielded it appear to have gotten over the fact it's a weapon of legend... and just wielded it like a standard weapon or tool. They got outside their heads, and just acted in the moment, without the weight of history weighing the blade down. :)

...ok...on his way there
Nah. Closest he got was dropping off his bounty with Jabba and getting paid. Helmet-wise, and ignoring the rest, Twelve Tall Yellow Killstripes Guy is not Eighteen Short Orange Killstripes Guy. Even if the rest of the ensemble is different things in the closet, those are not the same helmets. One is impersonating the other.

NERD!

I remember that guy. :) But my favorite is this guy...

Still hoping we get to see him at some point.
Yeah I’ve thought for a long time that they could’ve plausibly gone down the path that the RoTJ Fett and ESB Fett were actually not the same person. ESB Fett is the badass of lore and RoTJ Fett is a bumbling womanizer that tried to attack a Jedi at near pointblank range and got himself tossed into the sarlacc.

His EE-3 is different, the paint colors/schemes are different, weathering is different, the gauntlets (esp the left one) are physically different, etc. Literally the only thing that could be a strong argument they are the same person is that the dent is in the identical spot on both helmets. Otherwise, the differences in the details add up and they are similar only at cursory glance. They could easily be two different people wearing similar but not identical garb.

I said it before but it’d be a helluva twist if after the finale, during the credits, we get a scene in Jabba's Palace with Fett on the throne. A silhouette appears and we see the familiar shape of a Mandalorian helmet and armor. Boba Fett asks "Who the hell are you?". The other figure replies "I am...Boba Fett" and steps forward in full TESB-style armor and flight suit, actually confirming the old fan theory that the RoTJ "Fett" that we've been following all this time, was actually an imposter.

Of course it's cheesy and won't happen, esp given the flashbacks to Kamino, etc. Unless Fauxba was another clone pining for daddy Jango we just never saw! I’m also not sure how you’d explain why Slave I was still in the palace motorpool if ESB Fett left after delivering Han and RoTJ Fett pops up and hangs around the palace among the menagerie. It’d be an avenue for course correction though! LOL!

I think that might be a little reductionist... Qui-Gon tells Anakin we all have midi-chlorians, and that they're our connection to the Force. There was stuff in George's notes and conversations with ADF back in '75 when the novel was being written that, basically, had that anyone could learn to wield the Force to some degree. Higher midi-chlorian count means more of a conduit/more ease/more inherent talent. Even Anakin needed years or training to be able to do more than have the precognitive/instinctive flashes that let him be a good pilot. Why I have such a problem with Broom Boy in TLJ.

But, beyond the dent and physical construction, the helmets are otherwise entirely different, from paint colors used to specific color scheme to weathering to detailing. Hot Toys actually helped me out a lot, here. Their notorious pursuit of accuracy led them to color-match the original props in the LFL Archives, and they recreated all of the topical weathering and markings. This is the best side-by-side comparison under the same light you'll probably ever see:

Regardless of anything else, we're supposed to believe those are the same helmet.

I have a feeling Boba and his apparent age-mates would've been in a lot of the same areas getting the same training at the same time. Probably what helped one young trooper, at least, develop a fixation on his "father" and want what Boba had.

Simple. Two ships. One came and went with Boba -- Slave I -- and the other was the imposter's ship -- unnamed Firespray.

I wonder if there's a backstory for Mando's N-1 ending up in Tatooine
Could it be linked with baby Luke getting there with Obiwan all those years ago?
Maybe an escort fighter flown by one of Padme's kickass bodyguard doubles, like Sabé (?)
Or even Obi-Wan, himself. He knew how to fly, even if he didn't like it. And the fewer people who knew where he took the boy (like, just him), the better.
