Building the Book of Boba Fett - Boba and the Tusken Boba

Hello there...

Hello my friends, I would now like to show you my Boba Fett from - The Book of Boba Fett. I will also post pictures of the process from the beginning to the finished costume.

I want to start by telling you the story of why I made boba.
A friend from my Star Wars fan club had a Boba Fett. Most of it was self-made and she also sewed the clothes herself.

Then I had the idea to make a boba.
I'm asking around to see who else has something that can be used on parts, like the chest plate, or Boba's knees.
Then my friend got in touch and said “I’ll give you everything!” ...
What?

Said and done. She gave me a discarded old Boba Fett EP6. So I actually had everything I needed to build the new Boba.

The picture here was the original Boba, which I received completely as a gift.

After I had everything with me, I had to see what needed repairing. The baking plate and jetpack were very battered.
So I had to fill, sand, fill, sand and repaint.

I then decided on the magnet solution (which I found on YouTube) to attach the jetpack to the baking plate. So I'm flexible and can walk around either with or without.

I still had a knight's doublet that I wore from a previous Mandalorian headhunter that I once made and also liked to wear. Because otherwise I would have a kind of skirt at the front and back... And Boba only has this cape at the back, or skirt or whatever you call it. After testing the costume, I found that the doublet was just too long at the front and back. So change and sew around!

I also colored the Flagvest black. So I could still attach the chest armor. I had to dye the Flagvest several times to get a dark black color. Because before it was slightly grayish. The flag vest was sewn by my friend who gave me the Boba.

After I changed that, I had to try on the entire costume again. The belt was cobbled together from the old Boba belt and my regular leather belt. Did not like it. With the first troop, this belt was already falling apart. So I ordered a new one. I'm still waiting for new shoes that I bought here in Germany. They are pretty close to Boba shoes. Maybe you have shoes like this somewhere. They are cheap and look good.

I want more... Anaken would say... more of it... so I thought... why not the Boba who lived with the Tusken?
No sooner said than done... I also have the Emperor as a costume. The habit is very similar to Boba's. So tried it on. For this purpose I bought extra leg protectors in black. The same as the brown ones from the boba. I was able to purchase these quite cheaply through Etsy.

I would like to briefly interject here: I bought the new Boba belt on Etsy for 155 EUR. I contacted the seller because he didn't have my size. He promptly released an extra size for the same price. So I ordered straight away and the belt arrived earlier than expected. And the workmanship is top notch.

Then I set out to build the Gaffi Stick. An old broom, adhesive tape, spray paint and some foam for the round thing... done. Looks passable. Not screen accurate but perfect for cosplay.. The kids will love it!

And last but not least... this is what came out... I'm very impressed and think my bobas were a success!!!

Hopefully the shoes will come soon ;-)

And I hope to have inspired you a little. Even though my costumes aren't 100% perfect.. they are perfect!!!

I'm FINALLY getting around to watching Book of Boba Fett. Only 3 episodes in so far. I had heard a lot of hate towards it, but so far I've been enjoying it.
