The Book of Boba Fett

Why does everyone get so penny pinching in the defense excuses when it comes to Disney? They have more money than most countries do....

A face mask with some miniature animatronics, like something out of Hellboy 2 and the Golden Army's practical effects (near 14 years old now), would have been the way to go, and if they are going to all out DeepFake Luke, they couldn't digitally shift his mouth down a little just like you did to better match the OT and even cartoon?
i think lucasfilm is always trying to push technology, taking claim to all the first big technology achievements in movie history

thats just what i think

I did wonder this as he moved purposely slow in most shots..I was Amazed at the emotion they did get out of the character though.

Its just those lips..its Always the lips that trix your mind and take you out the moment..
In the Making Of of the final episode of Mando season 2 they explained that they used a "voice creator" to produce Luke's lines. To do that they collected thousands of audio snippets of Mark Hamill from various sources (movies, interviews etc.). They were then looped and re-combined to fit the bill. This technology can be used to let actors speak in different languages which would make dubbing obsolete. So you can have George Clooney speak German or French with his own voice.

with all the screen capping with the lightsaber scene you can really see how sloppy the face gets between fast moves lol

even him jumping on that water buffalos head.. watch his face change like instantly
Guessing they are really stretching the technology..
Yeah in the running scene its a blur..or my eyes from typing for hours on this here small gadget box :)

are we 100% sure they aren't live action>?
I see something like a black underwear between the upper leg armour and the hip area, so if this is CG they really have done it carefully. I say it is a real-life costume, like Bane's mask. It looks like there is a real human inside, not a spindly ragdoll. And this fact required a slight rework of the Trooper costume. I hope there will be a Making Of explaining it. Just imagine they hired fans for that scene like they did with the Nevarro siege. :)

I wonder how the match up to the clones EA/DICE Battlefront. I've been told the armor is tweaked to make it look more like someone could actually move in them.
It follows the same concept, shortening the thigh and making it wider at the top so it doesn't hit the hip armor. Stuff like that...
