Also, I've always been fearful of this since Mando S2, but the scope of these Star Wars shows are starting to feel more MCU-ish, which I'm not about at all. I prefer localized stories that have little bearing to the Galaxy. To be fair, the scope of Mando was inferred to expand in S1 ep 8, but these Galaxy-dependent stories are meant for the Skywalker Saga.

I'm no Photoshopper, but I think they could have tweaked a few things about Bane to match his CW appearance better, while still staying true to the on-screen live-action Duros from ANH. The mouth should be lower, and he needs more "squint."

Yeah, I actually liked his little pointy teeth and just how angry and intense his face looked. And it didn’t feel like the prosthetic was just sculpted “angry”, because there were little movements where he tensed and seemed to get angrier.

be perfectly honest i never realized he had shark teeth until today, and im a huge fan of this guy.. never picked up on it in the cartoon

I'm ashamed I missed this because I read the manga: ScreenCrush pointed out that the choice given Grogu parallels the choice given to the child in Lone Wolf and Cub, where, in that case, he had to choose a ball/normal life or a sword/life with his assassin father.

The frogs. I know they're trying to do the Yoda X-Wing thing, but that was part of a lesson to Luke. Where is the lesson in Luke showing off that he can levitate more frogs than his pupil can?

I think it was an incentive to get Grogu to focus on his training.

Grogu held his hand out as well, but as soon as Luke lowered his, they all fell, showing Grogu that he wasn't even close to that power.

Grogu held his hand out as well, but as soon as Luke lowered his, they all fell, showing Grogu that he wasn't even close to that power.

You can have one frog now, but with your training you can make many frogs fly - certain like Dagobah/ACTH-To we will see this again

Agreed. He was so menacing. I actually loved the way he talked through gritted teeth. Like he was seething. It fit his line delivery so well.

Wow...another week of asking "What did I just watch?" My thoughts:

Gasped when I saw Luke. His face looked REAL. Voice was still a little off, but even that was still an improvement from the S2 Mando finale. Overall, he seemed a little too Zen. I'd like to see his body language loosen up a bit.

Now that Luke has appeared a 2nd time, it seems likely that he'll appear a 3rd, 4th, etc. This both excites me and makes me nervous.

In TV, Luke has now appeared in two physical locations, more than he did in all three movies of the ST.

R2's dome looked really dark...And he just shuts off now when he's done interacting?

The droid ants are cool, but I think it would also be cool to have seen Luke building the structure by hand or with the Force.

Hope Vanth isn't dead. REALLY hope Garsa isn't dead.

I would give a prized nickel to see Grogu reach for BOTH items next week, and break the Jedi cycle of forbidden attachment.

Overall, a super exciting episode to watch. I've gotten more excitement from EACH of the last two episodes than I did with any of the ST movies.

This is the first time my girlfriend and I got to watch Mando…Boba Fe….The Luke and Cobb Show on its release day.

She didn’t provide any commentary because she fell asleep 2 minutes in!

We will try to watch it again soon.

Thats because Blue Nosferatu didn't used to have Anime Villain teeth... But these guys don't care about visual continuity in the slightest. Just look at Boba

Maybe Boba shot Cad in the freaking maw in the past, and he needed surgery, so that's why he looks so strange now

Interestedly, I am much more comfortable with the series knowing that this is really an extension of The Mandalorian. Releasing the frustrations of the inconsistency of Boba Fett is easier now. Has Boba spoken in the last two episodes? I agree with others that Boba will have a showdown with Bane as the two alpha males but Cobb will be there as support.

pretty sure thats a ep7 droid, i know they made one with opening doors and a radar back then but we never saw it on the ST. the weathering matches the ep7 droids as well

i was obsessed with that r2 when it came out, the dome is shaped allittle differently too

boba was actually in this episode but didn't have a single line

if he didn't talk so much in the pervious 4 episodes i wouldn't find anything wrong with it, but now with all the talking he's done, it felt weird fennec calling all the shots
