Not a bad episode but i don’t understand why here why now? Why Tatooine? Why any of it?
Character motivation for Boba is just non-existent. The first 4-6 Episodes have been ‘Destination Nowhere’ for the shows own main character

Did these guys just not want to tell this story?
Its like a Disney Executive came to them and said
“Hey Filoni.. listen, so.. we’re gonna let you turn all your goofy goddamn Clone Wars cartoon characters into live action to make you smile so long as you help us recoup lost sales projections from Solo and The Sequel Trilogy.. We got a deal??””

I've said it before, when they make Good SW TV its better than the recent crop of SW movies..thats not to say I wouldn't be averse to Finn and Co getting a better treatment on TV...as long as its written well of course.

I think human anatomy got in the way. It surely would have risen costs to fully animate the mouth portion. I did some editing and moved the mouth a tad lower - et voilà:

Here's a shot of the new clones. It seems they changed the armor to be more real world in terms of fit and functionality. They changed all the proportions and curvature of the armor while keeping the anatomy of it the same. The belt is 100% different so is this a special squad?

Looks like these are the first Clone Trooper costumes in a live action SW production. The clones in the movies and animated series were CGI. Very interesting.

with all the screen capping with the lightsaber scene you can really see how sloppy the face gets between fast moves lol

That looks worlds better already.. Why though does everyone get so penny pinching in the defense excuses when it comes to Disney? They have more money than most countries do.... Its a very very poor excuse for them to be cutting corners on

A face mask with some miniature animatronics, like something out of Hellboy 2 and the Golden Army's practical effects (near 14 years old now), would have been the way to go. And if they are going to all out digital with DeepFake Luke, they couldn't digitally shift his mouth down a little just like you did to better match the OT and even cartoon?
