Had a chance to hang out w/ Al and see the Betty up close. Pics do not do the work he's doing justice....it's simply awesome.

Heres the start of the flight deck. a very rough start. im using urethane foam to carve it out. got the basic side profile and began to shape it. going to really take my time on this. i think its the main part that really needs to be perfect.

Ive got a little more done on the Flight deck, still need to square some things up and add the details and shape the bottom, but its getting there.

Got a little more done on this. still need to finish the underside, just roughed it out, and sand and re prime. fix the front a little and then add all the window moldings and detail parts. heres a few WIP pics.

Thanks guys. I have to say this cockpit has to be the hardest part of the whole ship.

Started fitting the cockpit under the cone. had to hog out the foam and slowly fit it up there. im very close now, just a little more sanding it will be there. once im satisfied with the fit i will add the window moldings and plate detail. Also still need to clean up the underside. here s a few pics.
