This is a concept you actually find hard to understand?
All we had to base our opinions on were poor quality spy pics taken from 20 feet away and now we have an actual high resolution, accurate representation of how the costume will look on film.
To be honest no.If someone posted images of their costume taken with a crappy webcam in the dark and then suddenly posted an expertly lit studio shot you don't think you might have a different opinion after seeing the latter?

This isn't at an accurate representation of how the suit will look on film. Once again, this shot hides everything people didn't like in those spy pics (and don't discount that this is the second "official" and professional shot). It's not about quality of photography, it's about obscuring the really offensive parts of this costume. Aside from this fingers, this shot uses positioning, cropping, lighting, and photoshop (feet) to hide every single element that people on the internet have been upset about. That's not by coincidence.
An accurate representation of how the suit will look on film will include silver details on the feet, red leg stripes, a missing belt, a black-stained crotch, and a poorly designed back/shoulders. It's a bit insulting for you guys to keep insinuating that anyone who doesn't like the suit (even those who do like this picture) can't look at the amateur snapshots as objectively as you can.
More honeycomb/hexagon textures worth exploring
"Scouring mesh/ fabric"
Could this fabric be found/ coated in a thin latex coating?

The suit is still horrible, no matter how you light it, shoot it or edit it. The worst offender is the back of the suit. I can understand the poor decision to put stripes down his legs and even the belt being eliminated at the front since the designer obviously wanted the belt to have a similar visual flow to that seen in the leg and arm stripes but the back?
There is no justification for the back. From the awkward angles they designed across his shoulders to that god awful spider that wouldn't be readable as a spider from twenty feet away, it's just a poorly thought out and executed mess. I also cant believe the studio didn't have the foresight to run the design by a couple of focus groups. If they did and they got positive feedback they were very selective with their sampling.
My only hope at this point is that the film is good enough that after seeing it I'm willing to forgive the amateurish take on the suit and that if they produce a fifth film they quickly rectify all the problems found in this suit.
Parting question...black crotch? WTF suit designer?

Also, side note, I retitled the thread with the movie's official title because I can and because the title is awesome.
Don't judge a book by its contents!Too bad the movie wont be as awesome as the title. :lol

(I have faith with the director and his choices. I still think this movie will impress all the naysayers)
Hows that for a great sentence? LOL
Paul/jetbeetle already confirmed the Lizard as villain; he read the script.
