The Amazing Spiderman (Reboot) Costumes and Wardrobe

What I find funny is that BRRogers is showing us that it is perfectly possible to make this suit using readily available materials. What is so unbelievable about this suit?

:love:thumbsup

... Of course Im even less thrilled with Spidey's new white uniform when he joins Fantastic Four. Saw a pic of the cover and its hideous.

I decided to actually look up what you were talking about in addition to being a wise-guy...

... Yeah, I like that less than any other incarnation of Spiderman.

Hard to criticize the movie when the comics are putting Spidey in a horrible new design every month. At least they haven't resorted to hologram covers again...:rolleyes

Paul is a Hollywood screenwriter (wrote Sky High) so if he says he got a look at the script I tend to believe him.
Also, I think you meant to say 'don't judge a book by its cover' as opposed to 'contents'. Folks are judging this by the costue (cover) as opposed to the content (whether or not its a good movie). I think its probably going to be a good movie Im just not thrilled with the Olympic Speedskating Uniform they came up with for a costume. Of course Im even less thrilled with Spidey's new white uniform when he joins Fantastic Four. Saw a pic of the cover and its hideous.
Oh really? I didn't know that. Yeah, I mean, I wouldn't try to discredit someone without knowing him, the net's just a crazy place where you really have to take everything lightly. There are many cases where these reports and stuff do end up being true, and that's fantastic.

That's basically what I'm trying to say, yes. The costume may look bad to some, but if the movie is fantastic, will that really matter in the end? I don't like that this constantly turns into a battle with people who like or dislike it. Everyone has their own opinion. I personally like the suit, not what I would have done, but now that we know that's what it looks like, I'm cool with it.

Hey Guys,
Just noticed more details on the hands and look closely at the finger tips... (gecko gloves)????

In my opinion i dont like the suits webbing but then its more to the original comics .... =)

Awful suit all around, Why did they change it in the first place? I still think it looks awful in the new studio pic where they hid alot of it. Its to busy and random. The webbing in a Brick pattern is just awful.!!!!!! I cant seem to point out the direction they when wiht this suit

Costume design:
Appeal to a younger, contemporary demographic.
Emphasis on the sportiness and athletics of the character, channeled by an "athletic" looking costume.
Athletic qualities of the costume are enhanced by use of what are now common sports fashion materials, reminiscent of high-tech textiles and athletic goods.

...Makes sense to me anyway:$

Don't know if anyone saw this, but I just found this video of what was being filmed earlier this month. Kinda cool, shows them filming another cool stunt near the end.

I'm so happy they are using more live action for stuff like that. With all the people out there who are masters at Parkour and gymnastics, it's about time they incorporate people like that into the stunt team. The crotch jump looks so much cooler when you see it in action and the follow through.

Looks like the suit is ripped in the back right shoulder on the last take of that "crotch jump"...? Or maybe that's a zipper line?

What caught my eye....look at +- 0:19 seconds into the video at the ALTERNATE spiderman costume getting into the backseat of the car!
Looks like a more shabby/rough version of the costume, with a more fabric style hood/mask.

people will find anything to complain about...and I mean ANYTHING!!! I actually like this suit more so than the previous suit. Sure that one was nice and was considered "The proper suit" but I want something new and fresh...not the same old bland suit from the original trilogy...they are actually still using a suit ripped straight from the comics. I didn't read through all the pages so if these pics have been posted before...my bad...

so I did a little looking around on this thread and someone has already posted the photos...I still love the new suit. It's a fresh, awesome, still comic inspired look for Spider-Man...I even like the gold eyes

I've noticed that a few times too. I wonder if that's actually part of the movie and there is some sort of Spidey impersonator trying to wreck his reputation. Could be kinda cool.

When you say mutant Spiderman, you mean...?

Cuz in the original spiderman, he oozes out of his wrists, and his fingers themselves are like spider (but if he's wearing a suit, how does it still work?!, who cares!)

I read somewhere in someone else's post, of how he has mechanical shooters now or something? So he's no longer bitten and no longer like a mutant?

Ahh, ok. I take it you don't read the original comics? In most incarnations I can think of, Peter is always bitten by the Spider and gains powers; however, the original movie version simply changed the mechanical web shooters to organic. Other than that, the wall crawling, agility, strength, and spider-sense were all powers Spiderman receives from the bite. So this new version simply follows the comics a little more closely in that aspect.
