The Amazing Spiderman (Reboot) Costumes and Wardrobe

In case anyone missed the chance to pick up Old Navy's field jacket a few months ago, they've come out with a new, slightly different one in Army Green...AND BLACK! A great find for anyone needing an affordable alt to the Vince and/or Peter's unidentified black field jacket that he wears in the scene at Dr. Connor's home.

Unlike ON's last one, this one actually has the roll-out zip-up hood just like the Vince. You'll have to replace the buttons with gold snaps and cut off the epaulets if you want it to look more screen accurate but other than that, it's pretty close in detail and color.

I was lucky to get a legit Vince but I'll definitely be picking up the black one!

Sadly it doesn't have the side welt pockets as well but it's a pretty good looking jacket. Nice find :)

Yeah, no it doesn't. Unfortunately. And while it does on the top pockets, it doesn't have outside hems on the lower pockets like the Vince does. Both the side welts and the lower pocket hems are pretty unique details that I've only ever seen on the Vince.

Man I envy you so much for having a real vince. You are one lucky man. However, i did find this that I've just ordered, that looks reasonably accurate. But i'm a bit worried as I've never used this site before. I'll post pics when/if it arrives and it isn't a totally different coat of something :lol

Thanks man! Yeah, I still can't believe it myself every time I open up my closet and see it hanging there. I'm almost afraid to wear it on a regular basis lest something bad happen to it! haha

I don't know that site but I'm familiar with whatever international brand that is. It's an Asian company that also makes an Assassin's Creed-style hoodie. I'm afraid you might be a bit disappointed with that jacket. It looks a bit more fashionable so to speak (think more Armani Exchange and less Vince). Not sure if you noticed but the top pockets are slanted. Also the collar looks really, really high! And I might be worried that the pictures show black and green color options but the page only shows maroon or light blue!

Is it too late to cancel your order? :unsure If you're wanting a good alt to the Vince, I think for the price you'd be a lot happier with the Old Navy jacket. Not trying to be rude or anything! Just trying to help a fellow webhead!

This one seems to be a dead ringer (pun intended). Alternative Apparel Men's Rocky Zip Hoodie in Eco true Navy

The only difference is it doesn't have the black ends on the drawstring...though, while it'd be a weird alteration, I guess that could have been something the costume designer did. Or possibly a previous version of the hoodie they no longer offer? As another user suggested, you could always just do the same to the drawstring with a Sharpie.

Other than the fact that we know a good bit of Parker's clothing from the first film is Alternative Apparel, the hoodie he's wearing in the picture resembles the same "sustainable Eco-Fleece" material that's pretty specific to the hoodies they make.

I was going to say, my first thought was American Apparel, but (correct me if I'm wrong) they don't seem to have dark ends on the drawstrings like his do?

I can't be bothered to cancel the order. I noticed the colour looked a little high and the slanted top pockets, but I'm not using it for a cosplay or anything, more as a nice coat. Thanks for the concern though :lol

Do you guys think he's still gonna have the skateboard straps on his bag? I hope he does, they were pretty cool.

Dont think so because he had a few pics a different bagpack !
Some one already got the "jeansshirt" from the china town scene ?

Yeah, but do you think he will have added them to his new skateboard? 'Cause if he hasn't, he was a little silly getting a new backpack :lol

maybe he quitted to skate so he doesnt need it anymore :p

I doubt, I think that would be weird and pointless decision to make. Plus I loved the skateboarding in TASM. From the 'take it' scene to the start of the 'That's the only one on the planet' scene is my favourite part of the movie. Because it his the brilliance that is Andrew and Emma's chemistry and the way he celebrates it and stuff :)

You are correct. They do not. Their hoodies are also much more cottony and sweatshirt-like while Alternative Apparel's are a super soft, vintage tshirt material.

Could be he doesn't need it anymore since A: he appears to have a car now (likely just Aunt May's that he borrows) and B: he can websling places! Granted he'd have to do that in his Spidey suit but it's unarguably the most efficient mode of transportation in New York City if SM comics have taught us anything! ;)

Not to say he won't still skateboard for fun...he just may just not need to rely on it for transportation anymore. I know that's what personally happened with my skateboarding when I was a teenager who suddenly obtained his driver's license. :cool

That one may be a near impossible article of clothing to 100% accurately identify considering the sheer amount of denim/chambray shirts there are out there right now. It's one of the most popular styles in Men's clothing currently. To begin with, I can't really tell if his is dark blue or dark grey almost black. Maybe once more pictures or the film comes out there will be something that helps us ID it better. But again, good news is you should be able to find a number of good substitutes if you're trying to put together that outfit.

not sure could be that one !

Yeah, could be. The color looks like it could be somewhat similar if his shirt is in fact dark blue as do the buttons. The dead giveaways on that shirt would be the chest pockets and the inner collar color.

I went back through the pictures from that day to see if I could see any pockets sticking out from under his jacket or if we got a peak at the inner collar but unfortunately nothing.

Those chest pockets on the shirt you posted look like they're placed pretty close to the front placket so, if that was in fact a match to his shirt, I figure we'd be able to see at least a little of the pockets peaking out since his jacket isn't zipped up. But I can't say for sure. It still could be a match. Guess we'll have to wait and see! Good find though.

I also counted the buttons and it fits :)

(havent you seen my last message?)

I completely missed that you stated that in your post. Sorry! :$

Mary Jane's wardrobe is baffling me, as far as cost goes. All of her identified pieces so far aside from one are from Rag and Bone and extremely expensive! The other piece is a pair of AG Adriano Goldschmied jeans and they aren't cheap either. I may have to entirely go the alternative route on this one. :wacko
