I'm with you man. Levi's are all I wear. And while I'm not Garfield's height, I do know that when I go up a size in 511s, they fit a little looser than the typical slim, more tailored fit with little to no breaks. His look like they could be a size bigger in length.
Just curious, how long has it been since you last tried a pair of 511s? Coincidentally, I was at the Levi's store yesterday and the dude who apparently has worked there forever and was a wealth of knowledge when it came to the brand said that they've recently changed their fits a bit. So what use to be known as "skinny" is now their "slim" which don't fit as tight a la "girl pants."

He even showed me an older pair of 513 Slim Straights and a newer pair of 511 Slims in the same size and they were the exact same. (I even just noticed when I was tracking these down
on their site that they haven't changed the page header from "511 Skinny Jeans for Men" even though the page graphic says "511 Slim Fit").
I also asked him about the 511 Hybrid Trouser specifically and he said, to his recollection, that's the only type of chino they've made with the hyrbid front/back pockets so I don't think they could be anything but a 511...especially considering that it's the current style they carry and, since they just shot this scene, they're likely something the costume designer found fairly recently.
AND this concludes the longest thing I've ever written about pants... :confused
