Double post... my bad
Been working on the gloves and decided to go with the zip's like the film suit. They look quite ugly at the moment, but they will be blended with the web lines.

Two things:
1. Those don't look ugly at all, they're laid straight and even and in the right location (something I wasn't able to do.) Nice work once again.
2. That is a fantastic reference picture. It's probably Andrew in the middle of laughing, but out of context it looks like "Why, God, why me?" which is just perfect. :lol
Ugh. You properly talented sewing people are making me lament how slow my progress is. I'm still stitching fingers together at a snail's pace. I'd better step it up.

Sorry for lagging behind with work on this, i'm also working on my girlfriend's symbiote spidey costume, (will post pics when more progress gets done!) but i promise big updates soon as i'm trying to get both costumes done for our first convention visit in November!
So i figured i'd go a bit more in depth with photos on the boots this time round. Basically i've just made some lycra socks at the moment haha, and plan on gluing them to the pumps this weekend. After that, a few final tweaks, then on to puff painting the webs!
P.S. the boots will also have zips, but the placement may be different to the film's on this just purely so i can take advantage of a seam line on the back of the boot instead of cutting a slot on the side for the zip.

Yeah they're from primark and are £4 i think, they're real comfy to wear, but the way i've attached them to the costume makes them slightly tricky to get on, which is why this time i'm putting a zip on the back of the boot :thumbsup
Just a heads up... i'm a size 9 normally but these are a size 7, I wanted to get a size that fit comfortably but wouldn't slip off inside the costume easily.

Just installed zips on the back of my boots. Next step, glue the shoe in and the sole on.

No, never really looked into it. Might make some in the future, but i'm not too fussed about them at the moment haha!
I'm nearly there with the sewing, just a few more adjustments on the legs and it's time to apply the webs

It's still the same, just looks better without the flash on.
Here's a quick diagram, cos it's easier for me to show than tell...
this is the basic template, just stitch each coloured edge to its corresponding colour.
