Hey thanks man! I appreciate it! At current rate, the tear down will be pretty much finished by the end of the weekend.
Are these extra parts bad?
Not particularly. The paint is miserable, but they are definitely serviceable. My guess is that there's a glut of caprice parts out there. One could probably find nicer ones at a local junk yard.

Hold on to the firewall till the shell comes, it may save you quite a headache later if you have to build one from scratch later.
I was gonna say the same thing. That firewall is pretty important. I'd keep it in place as well.

Are you trashing it or selling it to a scrap dealer to at least recoup a few bucks?
Too bad nobody bought anything.
Just a thought that helped me after an engine fire on my old VW Rabbit. I went to the junk yard and took pics of a good engine from every angle. Next time you are at the junk yard, take video of a 95 Caprice engine bay. Have you bought a welder yet?:lol

Nope. And honestly, I just can't be bothered. I figure it'll take me a full day to get a truck to haul the stuff, load it up, then drive it to a wrecker that MIGHT give me a few bucks for it. My time is precious to me, and frankly, I'd rather spend it sleeping
You dont have a truck? Man I can't imagine life with out a truck. But you will have a MattMobile:thumbsup
You should check on the price it may be worth more than you think, but with a truck rental your probably right. Looking forward to seeing the shell

There has gotta be someone on this board with a truck and is willing to help out just for a couple of beers and maybe a ride in the future MattMobile. Hell if I lived close I would.
I know out here in AZ theres a place called pick-and-pull...they pick stuff up if its worth their time...so basically if its worth their time it could be worth yours, not sure if you have one of those in your area
There used to be a pick and pull up in Santa Ana. Iv'e actually made a few calls to local places. Usually the people are INCREDIBLY rude, and not interested. Again, my time is precious to me and worth some money, so the last thing I need is to spend time one the phone with folks like that for a minimal return
hey I here ya on that, but when you come to needing actual engine parts and stuff like that, if you do need those, let me know I work for a car parts place, and I can help ya save some money....I like what youre doing here can't wait to see this finished

You can usually find someone on craigslist who will come and haul away the metal for free. You're not getting any money in return but it's a hassle free way of getting rid of all that scrap metal.
Now THAT is a good tip. I was just thinking about this dilemma this morning, and that is a great solution. I will do just that. Thanks!
