I see the weave pattern - showing it is the same.

What am I looking at here? It looks like the same top layer, just something more opaque under on the right side. Is it just interfacing on top of 2 materials? It doesn't look like 2 different materials, whatever is on top seems to be all one fabric. Please explain.

It is actually two separate fabrics. The top one is the interfacing that you used. The bottom is a fabric that I found at Joanns. There is only about a half inch overlap of the interface and the fabric you cant tell one from the other as far as texture. The fabric is more opaque though.

Well, this isn't just a build thread, it's a general TFA Snowtrooper thread, so really everything gets shared and discussed. I'm sure wasili and the other guys building stuff will start separate threads on their own

Actually this was my own personal wip thread. There was another general Snowy thread that generated more combined research. Although it's nice to see builds of other makers, i am somewhat surprised that they have taken over my thread. I do not appreciate the builds of other makers, in my own build thread, that subsequently end up in the 'Project Runs' thread.

I have build way more than what was shown. Also my TFA TIE costume is nearly complete. But also my other Flametrooper thread had the same a bit going on, so i am refraining from posting.

For what it's worth Wasili .. I really thought your technic was worth writing down .. Shame people decided that it was now officially their threads .. Took over then left!! sheesh...

I would have loved to see the rest of the build!! At least post pics of the finish product!

Don't think it was intentional. Some good research is being done, and there's a lot of talented folks on the board. I probably should have been more on top of it.

Anyhow....back to the buildcave...
