Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)

You do realize that comparing the cartoon to the comic is apples and organes, right? most of the things they could get away with in the comic to make it so good would never fly on a cartoon.

The cartoon was what it was. a fun way to waste 30 minutes. THe same could be said for the 4kids version and to a lesser extent, the far goofier 2K12 version that can't seem to make up it's mind. (Do I want to be serious, or so goofy I feel like I'm on an acid trip? Re Dancing mushrooms)...

This new movie is going to be made by people who don't know the franchise, certainly don't respect it and what it accomplished (coming up from the nothing of the sewers to a major empire)......and are just looking to make a quick pay day and attract the lowest common denominator. Re: The general movie going public.

that last sentence will probably get me flamed more than anything ;o)...but that's the best way I can describe people who where not transfromer fans before they found the bay version.

Please don't watch this opening day fan-boys. Looks TURDLE-TASTIC...

The reviews sound bad. Slaughtering of the source material aside, the description of the turtles look is enough to make me avoid this.

That's what I said when the first Transformers hit movie theaters and look how many ended up seeing the movie. AND LIKING IT...:facepalm

Well...as a background blu-ray film Transformers is serviceable. There are those scene were I can say, "We have to watch this part". The intro with Blackout was great. But that is not how a movie should be. It shouldn't be bits and pieces held together by a totally unservicable storyline or protaganists.

The rest of the TF films are completely unwatchable for me. Again, filler scenes.

And once you leave the source material so far behind you've got even less ground to stand .

Super busy flashy filming... true Bay fasion. Pack so much CGI crap into each frame to the point where you can barely tell what's going on. I feel confident in saying the Turtles look really ****ty too.

Go rot in hell, Michael Bay.

Not overly convinced by the look of the turtles, the attitude seems quite good though.
Hmm...will wait and see i guess...

I would argue it's because were devoted to something so much, regardless of how bad we expect it to be, out of respect for the franchise we force ourselves to watch it. lol, well thats the case for me. ugh #masochistic

The interwebs call these SHEEP.

It's not news

Please don't watch this

Should just stop right there ;)

A "great" idea: make fans of the original source HATE it and make "newbs" like it :facepalm

just watched this at work in our massive sound studio screen. it looks good, the action looks good in it's Bayish style. but god, why yeezus why does Mikey have a pig face?? It's like their the garbage pail kids but green #meh

Initial critiques after the first trailer: Why aren't the turtles bigger? 7 feet tall? Come on bro! they could be taller. You could fit more muscles on 'em that way. Also why aren't they wearing more crap? They should be decked out in all kinds of cool gear. Make them confusing as hell to look at! Finally, they aren't ugly enough. I want these turtles to be so ugly that they induce nightmares where-in giant, roided-out, tacky turtles come beat the hell out of me for not going see this movie.
