Teaser: My new lightsaber "working" blade

Jim,

any chance these sound boards fit in a dooku style hilt
well, thats what I would like to do

I need a working board to go inside a 1" ID tube (my custom dooku hilt)

would that be sweet to make a working dooku FX saber or what .

don't know how the diffuser is working out but you might consider sandblasting both the interior and exterior of the tubes.

Good news. My MR ROTJ Luke saber just busted which means I have a hilt and sound board already to go for my future hyperdyne blade.. :D :love

deflesh, my board will fit inside a 1" ID tube. The sound board should also depending on which version you go with.

Things have been going slow, but the good news is the first prototype with new blade electronics and integrated sound board is finished.. I will have some pics up soon...

A quick "new year" peak at the finished Vader saber conversion. Saber has all the bells and whistles - a hyperdyne light driver board and fully duelable 36" ultra bright blade with ignition/retraction effect, in-the-hilt sound board featuring power up/down sounds with multiple clash and swing sounds (automatic clash and swing sensors are also onboard), interactive vibration unit to give the saber some real feedback, one-button operation (no switches needed), internal batts, and external recharging jack. All fits in a spare MR hilt nicely too. :)

Brightness is off the charts compared to a standard MR saber, as shown here:

I hope to have a movie up soon showing some more cool features of this particular saber....

Hyperdyn, Can I retrofit this into a dead MR Vader sword I have?

redshirt, yes you can retrofit a MR Vader saber. That is what I did above with one of my busted Vader FX sabers. Everything fits inside the hilt.

I will be doing blue and green next. I just needed to finish up this prototype to work out manufacturing issues. So once all the new parts come in I will have a blue and green blade to show off next.

Dear Uncle Hyperdyne,

Please do a purple one soon too, I need to replace my 2 MR maces with them.:):):)

INDEED........... bright ass purple would be sweet .
I have yet to receive my MR mace in the mail :lol

mr Hyperdyne , you truly are my hero, now if i wanted to machine a hilt for myself, roughly how large would the diameter need to be for the inside to hold the electonics and whatever else is needed.

I was just wondering this myself. Do tell.

BTW, the blades look stellar.

Looks great. I know this is down the road, but do you have any ideas on a Luke ROTJ or Ob1? They do not have to be duel worthy, but look better and have the same/more features of the current MR. Mostly the size of the hilts is the issue. I understand that they have to be a certain size to prevent breakage, but let say that is not a worry. Any ideas or compromises? Did I mention that this is fÂ’ing awesome?

Add me to the list of requests for purple.

Hyperdyne- I just deblade a busted DV fx lightsaber, it does not have the pronged plug to make blade removeable, its got the little pin plug. Should I be concerned, or does your briteblade plug in to either one ? Or should I just look at replacing all the guts ? Please tell us more inquiring minds want to know.

It sounds like it's ready for order but don't see it in the list. Interested in Red, Blue, and Green + sound.
