Teaser: My new lightsaber "working" blade

Hyper do you have any vids of anyone really going at it with your blades? I saw the one posted on this thread but they are kind of playing around being pretty nice about it. I am looking for something that can take a beating and alot of fast choeographing abuse. Not really going hard just fast, know what I mean?

check in the middle pages Hito, there are some test vids of Jim goin at it with his blade against a MR blade...and lets just say the MR loses...

Hito, yes the above video was just light play. Not at all a video to gauge blade abuse.

Our test videos show more rigorous testing, we really tried to abuse the blade. You can find them somewhere in this thread or they are listed on our website.

Disclaimer: Some people from other saber camps dont think those videos are hard enough either. But I disagree, it was around 80% from WOT which is what I would call normal choreographed power. I have had some people wind up and hit stuff with our sabers, I just didnt have the video camera at the time to document it. Good news is that the blade survived. :)

One thing I have learned - if you want to go beat on a tree a baseball bat costs much less. No use buying a saber for that. As Miyagi said "Tree no fight back". :lol

HD, dont you have a vid where a ESB MR vader was dueling with one of yours and the MR broke?

seem to remember seeing it several months ago...

Jim any updates on Darth Maul yet? :)
[/b]

oldken, that video on the hyperblade site. I cant remember which one, but it is one of the earlier sound tests we did. I still cant believe the MR busted in two pieces. :eek

xmart, I still havent finished my MR maul conversion. Too many projects, too little time. :unsure I do know that the v2 blade and driver will fit, as long as you use the 7.2V batt pack. :thumbsup

The larger 11v pack just wont fit in the maul hilt. I was hoping to get to that conversion soon, since I was planning on mocking up a v2 maul with wireless sound.

Just arrived, lots of catching up to do on this thread but, wow, a saber that looks as great as the MR ones AND doesn't break if you get a little carried away, lol, that's awesome. Great job. :)

Yeah I have been busy trying to keep up and get some new things done with the blades.

Actually these sabers look much better than the MRs. At least 2-5x brighter, depending on the intensity you set.

I am going to be putting up a customer pic and video area on my site. That way I can show off some of what my customers have done with their sabers. :thumbsup

Sounds great. I'll be watching the site for updates. :thumbsup

Nice and bright. Silly me. Reading the title, I thought the blade would actually ignite by extending and retracting somehow, lol.

We finally put up a small gallery of customer pics of their sabers. Goto the gallery page and click on the first link.

Also up are a couple movies. One is of Vader using a v2 red hyperblade saber at the California Science Center. It was used for the opening gala of "Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination" in LA earlier this month. The event looked stellar.. :)

Here is a direct link:

Hope you like it.

I also just got in a new blue color blade and a yellow blade. I will be testing them out this weekend...

Yeah, the ambient light is really awesome. I love that feature of these blades. It's really unique and shows how much light these things really give off. :eek

Anyway I finally had an afternoon free yesterday to finish up this bad boy.

A hyperblade converted MR maul saber..

Fitting everything is this small hilt was no doubt challenging but doable. It took some time to figure it all out. I learned a few things on how to do it better next time. Anyway at least I know this is something that CAN be done now. On to the second hilt so I can have a duel hyperblade saber...

Here is a pic of the original MR vs. the hyperblade upgrade. The hyperblade is on the top, MR FX on the bottom. I love having a bright maul saber. At last. :)

And finally here is both sabers working. You can hear the hyperblade upgrade has the proper Maul saber sound effects. :thumbsup

I also couldnt stand the original twist on switch, so I added a small pushbutton for this. Much easier to turn on the saber with one hand now. :love

Maul hyperblade vs. FX movie

Hope you enjoy it..

I WANT ONE SO BAD. :(

Hyperdyne you may have a lot of cash from me soon.

However before I order I would like to know a few things. Mainly...

How difficult is it to integrate this into an MR ESB Vader hilt?

Also, when will you be putting sound clips onto your website? Although I might go for the bluetooth unit, it would fit better into my situation.

Anyways, excellent work, looks pants wettingly good.

The Vader ESB FX hilt is actually a bit easier to fit everything into. That is the easiest FX hilt to modify IMO. It has much more room, as the Maul FX hilt is noticeably smaller in diameter.

I will get some sound clips up, or you can email me and I can send you some samples. We also have a new sound board coming out that uses my patented tech and is totally programmable. That is, you can put whatever sounds you want on the board, and the board and speaker all resides in the hilt. It will be very loud too. This board will be a mid-level board that is better than my current in-hilt board but not as high quality as the bluetooth wireless version. It should have all the features that one desires in a sound module too.
