Another saber done. This is the Sith Stalker saber. I have also seen it referred to as a Sith claymore. As such this one will be the one in my hand while in costume. I shortened it a little bit since I last posted and I reshaped the prongs to be more game accurate. My previous iteration had too much curve to the fins.

Pretty intimidating. I think it turned out great. Might add a belt clip to it if I have time.

I did. The color looks great. Kinda champagne-ish, which is what I was going for myself.

Here is a quick shot of the pip sizes I used. They are the same outside diameter, One is just thicker walled for when I chose to dremel the lines in. This size just felt right in my hands.

it looks a bit darker in pictures but its a good color. ive been toying with the idea of coating it in some sort of varnish or clear stain. i think it might give it a deeper tone but not make it too dark. its some thing ill test down the road.

are you going to wire it up with an LED or go a more battery free method with something like a colored tube?

i think for cons trooping around in brightly lit building these colored tubes work great and will be what i pick up as well.

Very nice job constructing the sabers! It just goes to show ya.. you don't have to spend a lot of money to have a great prop... those sabers fit the bill.

I have also thought of a makeshift lathe like yours but haven't gotten around to putting one together. I haven't needed it yet. If I do I plan on using a bearing opposite of the drill that will help to stabilize the axle and keep the wobbling to a minimum. I have some roller blade bearings that will work good if I ever get around to building it.

I don't plan on adding any sort of electronics to these sabers. They are really just props. Neither will I have a blade installed at the con. I already have trouble with the forearm armor knocking into things due to limited visibility. A full length blade would be a real liability. I love the custom saber shop though and have done plenty of shopping there. Maybe for fun I'll take some shots with an illuminated saber.

My sabers are complete! The costume is FINISHED! I am sure I will make improvements here and there, but its complete.

Here are my lovelys. Due to weight concerns I ended up going to the store and picking up a cheapo hasbro vader. I also added some chain links to all of the sabers. These links hook onto my belt.

I will have some pictures of the costume all together soon. Celebration VI here we come.

CONGRATS! everything in your build turned out superb i only wish i could be at celebration to see it in person in all its/your glory!

What a great job. I would've loved any of those sabers as a kid... all I had at the time was cardboard tubes from kitchen towels.

Most amazing Sith Stalker I've seen. Huge fan of your quality build!

That said, just one suggestion... Please upgrade the cyborg hand to something more solid, like a thin version of an Iron Man hand!. Everything else is so amazing I think the "printed glove" (does look good, not knocking that) just seems to detract from all the other hard work you put in.

Again, not trying to offend or start a problem, I really like what you've done! Just an opinion.

I was in the " outer rim" category. To be honest, I don't completely understand how categories were assigned for the dark side/empire characters. They did not seem to have their own group like Jedi did.
