SW Screamin 1/4 Boba Fett

Middle of Nowhere = Missouri aka Misery :)

I do have both of those stores around here but I have never noticed them offer airbrush classes but I haven't paid that much attention either so I will definitely look into that.

look forward to seeing the progress pics, I believe you could airbrush it ,if the right primer is applied , however any of the vinyl kits , I just hand painted those with straight acrylic, airbrushing vinyl kits , is something I have ever tried, I like using an airbrush for the enamel paints for my plastic models....I am curious to see how that works........
IMHO airbrushing with acrylics is the same as using enamels or lacquer. Just without the strong smell.
Here are a couple of my kits

This was done with liquitex acrylic

This with Golden acrylics.

I had the unfortunate pleasure of spending 9 weeks at Ft. Lost-in-the-woods when I went thrue basic training. :) The scenery was beautiful, but going thrue basic in Missouri, in February, was a pain in the butt!. I've never been so cold... The day we thrue hand-grenades, it was 0 deg!

I love the NX-01 model! You did a great job, if I may say so.
Best of luck to you with the Fett kit. :eek I never had the patience to build them as a kid, although I wish I had....

Well done!

I've been doing a lot of reorganizing on TDH the past few days and I came across this. I thought that it might of some little help. Boba Swede's initial post also has a link at the bottom to a gallery of progress pics.

Ty for the link.

Definitely has some good shots there and has me thinking of checking out Tamiya's weathering kits.

Great shot of the 1/4 scale Screamin kit as the artist was building it:

Really bold and vivid colors on the model and awesome weathering that really shadowed, weathered, and highlighted the kit well giving lots of depth to the kit. This one would be hard to top.

From the article, where unfortunately the artist was murdered in a robbery.
