SW Screamin 1/4 Boba Fett

I have seen a few photos of the all white Boba Fett in my making of the ESB book and I most say that would be an very easy to paint and unique looking Boba Fett. :)

When I start working on each of my models I will start a thread.

As for my NX-01 I will post a few pics over the weekend here since I have taken a few with it. :)

Not to derail your Fett thread, but I have that NX-01 kit stashed away somewhere. I should maybe actually build it!

Hey - same thing applies to the Screamin' Fett... Its out in my garage somewhere...

May I say I am jealous u have a Screamin' Fett kit.

Then one I got is been partially built and does not have its original box :(

I have another one of the NX-01 kits still sealed in its box but I have some many other things I have to do I am not sure when I will build it.

I will post some more pics here of my first build today if I don't get distracted.

I'll have to dig out the Fett kit. I'm re-organizing my kit cabinet right now anyway.

Not sure that I'll ever build the dang thing anyway...

Here are a few shots of my Boba Fett model I am currently working on:

Dig the shirt by the way - makes me wonder if I should have a Death Star t-shirt!

Also, the NX-01 looks bigger than I thought... But I havn't seen it out of the box for years.

Thanks! I love that shirt and yes I have the Boba Fett hoodie (yes I am a bit dork)

It is a pretty good sized model. I cannot wait till I get my
1/350 U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 ( I am a 1701 club member too) but I really want to find a good and safe place for it before I finish it plus I also want to get the hang of airbrushing.

I have to ask.

Is it the 1/4 or the 1/6 Screamin' kit?

You know what?

Looking at your images, what you have is the 1/6 scale figure.

I noticed it had the ROTJ gun, then took a closer look at the size, which is smaller than the 1/4 scale kit I have.

U know I knew I had the 12" 1/6 scale Boba Fett.

I don't know why I titled my thread the 1/4 model kit.

Guess it's time to go back to being a blond :)

Vinyl kits. My Fave!
I see TXFett has told you wich Fett costume this kit represents and you have been pointed to the Dented Helmet.

If you don't mind I'd like to give my two cents on vinyl kit building.

Use a brand of "super glue" to assemble the kit.
Use a hairdryer of hot water to soften the kit and cut away the excess vinyl. Use a new sharp knife, using an older, dulling knife can cause accidents. I have a scar on one finger for not following my own advice.
If you are going to do more vinyl kits I recomend you at least fill the legs with and expandable foam like Mountains in Minutes or Foam -it! (my favorite). This will keep the kit strong but light weight. If you want a little more heft I recommend filling with a two part resin. I don't like plaster. I have found that plaster can hold on to moisture even after it has curred and over time this moisture can leak out.

Prime your kit!! I have tried several brands or primer and I strongly recomend using Mr. Surfacer 1000. It is a bit more expensive but it is worth it.

Just about ny acrylic paint can be used. From liquitex tube acrylics to Folk art paints, citadel to Tamiya (again my favorite for airbrushing).

When you are finished protect your paint job with a coat of Testor's Dullcoat or Mr. Color Dull spray , or gloss coat if you want it shiny.

Oh you are doing the 1/6 scale Fett made by Kaiyodo imported by Screamin'. That is the ROTJ version. Probably the most accurate Fett kit to ever hit the market.
