Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

before this was posted, I searched dagger, plug bayonet, spanish dagger, etc...never found anything close..although I strongly suspect it was a Spanish made knife...maybe CAS IBERIA or one of those..but never did find anything.

LOL, thanks

I found this knife by randomly searching Ebay for "daggers" (I still don't know the correct name of this dagger). This dagger was sold by a knife collector on Ebay who was parting out his entire collection. I contacted the seller and asked if he had anymore of these daggers or if he knew what the name/make of this style of dagger was, but he didn't know. I don't see any clear markings on it saying what type of knife it is... I'll take some more pictures of it and post them soon! Hopefully someone here knows the proper name of this dagger!

P.S. I'm in the process of buying Dean's REAL double barrel Baikal IZH43 Shotgun! I'll post pics when I get it! :thumbsup

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Its a replica of a 17th century plug bayonet.

He's spot on with the description. MANY companies make replicas....afraid companies call them other things as well Spanish daggers, medevial dagger, etc. So can be a tad hard to track down. Can't wait for the shotgun pic.

Hey Mike,
Are you sure about this Baikal IZH43 being the right model???? I have been looking at a lot of Baikal's and they all seem to be a little off. Dean's forearm grip is pretty short and the stock (although cut down) is a little different. Just want to make sure you don't spend you hard earned money on something that isn't quite right...... :confused

Boo-yah! Now I just gotta pour some silicone and find a chromer. :love

Thanks for the concern, but I'm pretty sure this is the correct make and model. Since I can't find any high-res screen shots, I've been using Supernatural - imfdb :. guns in movies :. movie guns :. the internet movie firearms database as a reference. I do note that Deans double barrel shotgun doesn't have checkering on the fore grip or stock, but I can fix that with a little sanding...:)

P.S. Since it's illegal to own a sawed of shotgun without a class III license, this gun will have to be deactivated before I even think of sawing it down. Does anyone here have any experience with deactivating guns? From what I understand, you have to bring it to a gun shop for deactivation.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Hey OZ..you may have 2 weapons in one IF you're interested...noticed on the behind the scenes video with prop master Chris Cooper, he has a few prop/weapons from the series. One of which is the zombie killing stakes...which oddly enough has the same type 3 sided blade as the angel blade....so with that being said....any chance you might go on to do those as well....fingers crossed.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

I don't remember the zombie killing blades. Remind me what episode that was and I'll take a look at it.

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

few pics of the angel blade...not bitching OZ...but yours may be a tad small..whatcha think?

Re: Supernatural Props.What Ya Got...

Nope, not small.

Two reasons.

1. In my pic I'm holding it at an angle, which makes the blade look shorter than it really is.

2. I have very big hands.

If anything, I'd say that I might have made the handle an inch too long.

And thanks for the pic. I was never able to tell for sure if there was a ring at the butt of the handle, and now I know. I'll have to add that in.
