Sweet!!!...I am sure the girls will want to dress up on sat as well...as for friday, lets keep an eye out for each other...a bigger group looks better for pics...

I'm also in the process of making a waterslide decal for my wife's katana. I was going to dremel the design into the wood, but once I scaled the images to the length of the blade I relized I didn't have anything that would make that thin of lines. Now instead of hours spent carving it'll be hours in photoshop instead.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE rocket's <3 My choice of character had been Blondie but if Rocket's had not had her butt out I would have chosen her (besides, i'm not really a blonde-wig kinda girl :p) but this... I might have to try this :p
 
Oh please do! I'd love to see someone make it. I personally think I would suit Rocket more, but I really love Babydoll's white sailor outfit, so I'm gonna do it anyway.

all the pics of her show a flat rope strap braided, and it would make sense that they would use a actual katana Sageo but a longer length to make a strap then braid it with that sailors knot braid?

I combined all of the pics you posted earlier and printed them out in three sections on 1 8.5" x 11" sheet to test fit and it fits perfectly if you leave the curve exactly the same and make the design a total of 27" in length. This will fit the wooden sword from speedykarate.com that I posted about in my thread. Thanks!

I am pretty new to all of this cosplay stuff and I myself am not very crafty. However I am attempting to put together a Baby Doll costume for Atlanta's Dragon Con. I would appreciate ANY help that anyone might have to offer.

The Hot Toys dolls look really good, but I agree with the facial expressions. Babydoll looks really... surprised. lol

Where do you want to begin? You can find a wig on ebay by searching "blonde wavy wig".

For her top, you could try seaching for sailor fuku shirt patterns or tutorials. It's also easy to find Babydoll makeup tutorials!

The best thing you could do is read through this entire thread and maybe the thread on cosplay.com. Good luck with your costume!
 
I searched once for glitter fishnets and looking through google images I found a site that sold ones similar to those, I couldnt tell if they were gemstones though, but they did say they werent thigh highs, but you could try cutting them and adding something to maake it. Stay in your thighs LOL
 
Hey guys and gals!
This is my first post here; figured after lurking and drooling over BD costumes for so long, I should probably start on mine. So I have some questions for you all:
As for the pistol, what different airsofts have you guys gone for? What are the down sides of springing for a plastic gun vs. a metal one?
What have you guys done in terms of the rope type thing on the scabbard?
Is there anyone who didn't make their costume themselves?
