Sucker Punch costume thread

You would look STUNNING as Gorski! Saw the movie tonight and pretty much hated it but the costumes are fabulous. I vote for the black Jessica Rabbit dress. Gah. So hot...

I personally would LOVE to embark on BDs sparkly number. It's just so cute!
I was hoping someone would do BD's sparkly outfit! Soooooo pretty O.O

Finally shot some photos of my Babydoll costume I made last October. Mildly inaccurate because I lacked enough ref. at the time. But oh well. =)
I've already sold this one to another girl and I'm hoping to make Blondie for myself instead.

Not sure of which shoe exactly, but someone made their own shoes...
Hmm I was going to link it but now I can't find the photo! :(

Replying to an earlier post about SDCC.
Hi there! New here, but found this thread by googling.
I was actually planning on doing Babydoll for Comic-Con, if there's group talk going on. Are people still interested?

Can you give us a heads up on any patten you used, if you did use one? I've done lots with patten's in the past, but not really anything from scratch.

Did any of you notice how these scenes from the trailer were missing from the final cut?

Cant wait for blu ray extended version!

Yeah, each girl actually had a signature song and dance (except Babydoll, whose dance is solely up to your imagination) and went through about as much vocal/dance training as they went through martial arts/navy SEAL training. Unfortunately none of that made it into the movie but I've heard there will be an R rated directors cut DVD. :)

With the baby doll costume.....how is everyone doing the white stripes on the skirt and jacket and the blue stripes on the neck piece?? I've been trying to find info on it and for the life of me I can't seem to figure out if it is paint, dye, trim or a type of sewing.

I enjoyed this movie way more then I thought I would. I have to say, the demon samurai costume would be cool, but I don't see a feasible way to get that kind of size costume done.

All those cut out scenes are in the film, well parts of them. If you stayed for the credits, there's a whole song with cut scenes with all of those in it. It's after the main names come up.

I'd assume its the same as any sailor costume, and how I did mine. double fold bias tape top stitched on.

I have a BFA in fashion design =P So I drafted everything from scratch. I just don't usually like to waste the money on patterns, But you could start with the school spirit cheerleader pattern for the skirt. And for the top you should be able to find some asian/japanese sailor fuku patterns online that could be modified.
