Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Good words of advice Moffeaton.
I'll try to add to the flame (a little) lighting a fire under Steve's @$$
Sadly, it looks as if everyone will need to poor on the pressure.

Freudian slip? :)

I did recieve a email from Steve yesterday. He said he'll post a update soon.

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

If you FLAME my A**.. you will recieve a refund no questions asked. Ive offered refunds if you couldnt wait a few weeks ago. Please read back a few pages. So if you want the kit hang in there. If you cant wait i'll refund and no kit. Ive left my email and phone number here if folks need to contact me.. only a few bother.. but I finally get a change to get on here .. lots of questions being asked.

Heres an update.

Ok since only a few of you guys emailed me and folks are wondering whats going on I thought I would post an update. The TIE Standard molds were destroyed in the move as indicated earlier in the thread. I have not received the insurance claim for the replacement ones as of yet. They were shipped with the Fiberglass jacket turned around and heavy stuff placed on top casuing the gouges in the pic.

I under estimated how long it would take to set up the new shop. I’m installing all the shelves and have made rolling supports for the rotocast machine and Pressure chambers to ease the moving of the items in the new digs.

321606813.jpg

I still have to put up the shelves over the work stations to include the peg board. I’ve got the shop set up into four areas. 1. Building/construction, 2. painting, 3. molding, 4. power tools and finally 5. casting.

Just took this with shelve leaned up against the way and the 4’ x 8’ white peg board is leaned on the opposite wall behind the 80 gallon pressure chamber.

I have 32 feet of bench space with shelves underneath. I also have two large shelving units to hold the molds. I except realistically to be ready to start finishing the TIE and Interceptor orders in about two week. Once those are done I will look at new orders. I’ve been having to turn folks away because I’m not ready yet, mainly because of the shop status. I want to finish outstanding orders first then take new orders.

The standard TIE master has been upgraded as said before with the last of the parts that needed to be found. This is NO ICONS recast! 100% re scratched accurate Standard wings. Thanks to Dan L, for the last ID we have been looking for!

The Hero mold same case. I’ve added the last part to the master and have it ready for pouring. Just need the casting area squared away and I can start knocking the few HEROs due out.

I’m sure one I get the shop up I’ll be back full strength.. the move, new Police officer job has really been stressful. Im in phase 3 of training which Field Training! I have an experienced Police Officer critiquing my every move. I have 2 weeks left on days then I do 3 weeks of grave yards then a final 2 week check out phase on swings then I’m on my own. I still have a 4 and 3 schedule so I will have at least 1 to 2 days in the shop each week. I’ve order’d boxes and packing material so as soon as the shop is up I’m making kits and shipping!

If you have any questions about your TIE or other studio scale kits please email me at sneisen@bresnan.net I will try to answer all of my PM’s tonight. If I’m online I’m not working in the garage. If you have sent me a pm please forward it to my email I can be reached there.

Thanks
Steve

As always, thanks Jason for your straight forward approach to getting results. Im not going after you anymore as the last cease has been agreed to. I offered refunds to those who could not wait. I have 10 Interceptors 5 standards and 4 heros to make. A weekends worth of work. They will be finished as soon as the shop is up. No sooner. So getting everyone to light torches grab thier pitch forks and gnarl their teeth at me is not going to change anything. I am working as fast as i can. Ive exlained everything in previous posts. I'm sorry my move , new job and shop set up is not meeting your deadline. I do appreciate you helping the guys out. Someone needs to, you have been burned in the past by me and dont want others to fall into the same mess. I get it. I'll work as fast as I can to get kits out the door. Poor time manager is what I am. As far as sucky buisness man... yeah your right. Ive contatced a few fellas thats going to take care of that side of things from now on anyhow... so once I'm out of the buisness side of it and I can scratch and mold and cast and not have to do the buisness side I'll be fine. Thanks man.. ohh just re read the other post just to clarify.... I moved in the new house on March 27th 2008. (I was living out of a suitcase and out of state since October 07), Household goods arrived via tractor trailer on the 31st of March 08. So I have not been moved in the 1/2 a year (6 months) you posted about earlier. Its more like 2 and 1/2 months to be fair.

Everything will smooth out once the shop is up... and soon after new buisness front takes over all I'll have to do is build, mold and cast. All should be good.

If anyone has asked for a refund please report your status here.

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

There was one request for refund (ATST) but has since said they would rather wait. I have contacted GG directly on details for a refund. I appreciate and welcome Moderator oversite here. Ive been here a long time and have always come through.

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

No Steve, you haven't always come through with people. You may think you have, but you've left a of of loose ends to die on the vine.

You let Rolando down severely, recently. You wrecked his masters.

You let Jamie down - he never got his kit. (I believe it was a TIE from YEARS ago - predating our deal!)

You let Shima down - he never got his complete Probe kit. He did all that dev work on the sound and light board, and you never took care of him.

You let Willie down (re: Dropship). That's salt in a wound, especially when you were so very communicative when he had something you wanted.

You want me to go on? I got tons of people talking to me about these messes you've made.

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Good to see you're going to take care of GG (Mike), as he's one of the most trusting, talented, and enthusiastic people interested in the modeling side of things.

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Jason,

You know where you stand with me so I'm not going to go back and forth with you.

As far as Ro's masters go... they sometimes get ruined in the molding process.. RTV infiltration, pressure on de molding ... especially if they are a completed kit before the molding ever begins (which his were by the way.) Everything was molded and I sent a master copy of everything I made to Rolando so he had an archival copy a back up if you were.

Jamie will get one of the first sets of the hero star and new hull when I run them again. I talked with him several months ago about the kit. Just for clarification the kit is a freebee and still will be.

I have been in email contact with Hyper aka Shima and are working on a build up to satisfy the PD light project. Would you like to read them?

Just talked with Willie G last week, and he informed me we would not be waiting any longer with others making the interior parts, landing gear and other (Dropship) parts that I was told were being made by others in the forum. Drop Ship Landing Gear skid masters and rocket pod masters are being taken care of to complete the project and finish off his build.

Not to much more I can say about those. Thats the truth, the facts no matter however you want to spin them.

Steve

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Dude, Im far from perfect, at least I can admit that. I'm trying the best I can. Thats all I can do. You dont like it, tuff. Buy a dog.

It is so clear by the way you post about me you dont like me, and want to see me out of the studio scale world. (not gonna happen by the way) You have gone behind my back on several occasions so dont act all high and mighty. I'm just trying to be big enough not to throw stones on the internet.

You clutter the forums with stuff about me that you know maybe 1/4 of the facts ie. all the deals gone south you mentioned, my move in date ect. but yet you type it like it's studio scale gospel. You are not the studio scale savior.

As Ive told moderation and i'll tell you now I will no longer be doing mass runs of kits here on the RPF. No more pre-orders, no more kit lists ect. Ive learned the hard way of what happens when you mix buisness and friends. Sometimes its very costly, as you have mentioned before.

For the majority of folks Ive delt with I have had positive expierences. hundreds of kits shipped and recieved. I have had many delays and interuptions. Broken promises through it all, though Ive always remained contactable. I answer my phone. I'm not here to rip anyone off. I'm a one person part time scratchbuilder, mold maker, garage kit maker. Plain and simple.

What I think the funniest thing about this whole deal is what i call the behind your back buddies. Those guys you talk to that call me and tell me everything you say. Ive told them to stop cause I dont care what you think. I do care however you saying/typing stuff about deals you know very little about.

As Ive asked you in the past to mind your own buisness, which I now see you are incapable of doing, know this. No matter how much you type, no matter how hard you beat your "steves a loser and his kits suck" postings. I am not going away. I will always be around... I will always do my best to bring the studio scale models we love so much to everyone who wants them. Will just do it in a different way... as me doing it by myself is not working the best it can. The shop set up I got and re organization of production N sales are being handled by folks much smarter than me. There is indeed a bright future in studio scale.

More people than ever are building, which means more items we all can enjoy see built. To many subjects to tackle alone, thats why there is strength in numbers. So type away.. type to your little hearts content, type till your blue in the face.. I actualy think you mean well, I really do but I also think you dont know everthing you think you do and when you type that stuff it makes you look... uninformed and quick to flame without knowing the whole truth.

If i've learned anything in life it's "there are always two sides to a story." I know you dont ever talk to me so your only getting one side. Thats all I'm saying.

This will be my last post directed to you Jason no matter what or where you type. I dont have a lot of time on the boards and I dont want to spend it dueling with your snappy snyde remarks and come backs.

I agreed to a cease fire and have followed it but yet you still fire away, every chance you get on the forums and on the phone. (yes Jason, they call me too you know) do your thing. Do what ever it is you do, I dont care, i appreciate your zelousness to right the wronged.. its not needed here, I've got it... think its gonna be Ok.

I'm gonna take care of my buisness, I wish you would mind yours.

Steve

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Steve if you took the time to respond to everyone the way you just have to Jason, who has done nothing more than point out your SELF-ADMITTED flaws and you know what I am talking about, then your customers would have no reason to complain.'

Bottom line is you have a duty to inform people whom you have taken money from what is going on.

Take the five minutes out of your day that you took to flame to give people an update.

It's not difficult to keep customers in the loop, but you only respond these days when you are angry and so since Jason pissed you off people got what they wanted

A) To know you are still around (WHICH IS DAMN IMPORTANT)
B) That you are working on a resolution

Dont make this about Jason

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Steve, I don't care about behind the scenes rumors. I don't care if someone relays comments made to other people, because I stand by what I say. Your attitude towards customers and pattern makers shows your contempt, and that's a crappy way to treat the people that got you to where you are. I do not care one whit whether you go or stay in the hobby, but I sure as heck am going to speak my mind, as much as you have the right to speak yours.

You are a blight in a hobby known for skittish buyers and shady sellers.

Your castings range from "pretty dang good" to "horribly crappy and rushed" - it's a crap shoot when someone buys from you. If you're not farming things out to other casters (and thereby giving your products CONTROL over to someone else, which is just crazy), you are rushing stuff out the door to put a resin band-aid over angry buyers/friends.

You've constantly said you were going to clean up your act and change, but here you are again. Why would any one believe you now? You've already done the "post pics of the new awesome work space and various resin parts, etc to make frustrated customers suddenly excited again" trick... what's next?

Remember when you wrote this to me in March? I guess this was all BS too?

"Jason... and any others that want to speak on this issue your all absolutely right. All I can do is send the stuff that is owed and return Ro’s stuff so he can get some closure on this. I’ve failed to take care of what matters most. This hobby brings out the best and worse in folks. Taking advantage and not coming through in a timely manner exasperates the situation for that I am responsible.

... This train wreck is of my own doing, no one else get the finger pointed at them.

Jason, thanks for trying over the years but guess I just didn’t get it. I didn’t like it.. cause maybe to like it I had to admit there was some truth in your posts. You saw it, posted about it, as hash as it was how you saw it and I should have taken heed. "

Your words, not mine. So why should anyone believe ANYTHING you say?

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Guys, let's move on. Unlike some of the guys in this thread, I have some stuff pending and I'm satisfied with the explanations Steve has given me. If you don't have a pending TIE fighter order here, I think it's safe to say we've heard your view and we can now move forward. Some of you guys obviously don't know crap about law enforcement training, so I won't even go there, but regardless, I have enough friends who are in law enforcement who have all but withdrawn from their normal lives until this training is over. The bottom line is this:

Steve has offered refunds to everyone who is not able to wait any longer. That more than meets the expectations. The rest of us who can afford to wait are happy to do so. This is only one of many transactions I've had with Steve. Delays happen and that's all we have here. He contacted me in private already and offered the refund which I declined. Where else can I get a TIE fighter Hero kit????

I already know your opinion.......it was plainly stated. I acknowledge it and now I want to get this thread back on topic. Leave the communication between Steve and his customers from here out.

Respectfully,

Dave :)

Good. As Treadwell mentioned, if anyone is owed product and requested a refund but has not gotten one, please post.

Absolutely. 5 minutes of work now avoids 1 hour of explaining later.

A) To know you are still around (WHICH IS DAMN IMPORTANT)

Quoted for truth.

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Steve, this is not a flame and I do not want a refund. I'd be an idiot to wait 10 months to get bumped off the list at this point. I just noticed that no one has posted here in 10 days. Human nature is to crave news.

In any case, I think it would be helpful to update everyone with orders on this forum about a more specific timeline so we can reset our expectations. Emails and PM's are fine, but they will take more time for you to respond to each one and are more difficult to track. So after all the rancor, let's get this thread back on track to consist only of updates with photos and clear timelines.

Career changes can be tough, but it sounds like the final phases of your training are fairly predictable over the coming weeks. So if I understand it correctly, you had 7 weeks left of field training as of mid June. It also sounds like you had materials on order, so perhaps you will be able to then remold the hero and standard masters, then start casting and shipping out around August 15? Please correct me if I'm off base.

Again, this is not meant to bug you or flame you, and I don't want a refund, but I am hopeful that you can lay down a new more clear timeline publicly, so that I and others may know when to check back and what to expect going forward. We all know life throws curve balls, but with a bit more clarity, we who have orders can adjust our expectations properly. I hope this post is taken as respectfully as it is intended. Many thanks.

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Any updates anyone??? I've been out of country for 10 glorious days........LOL.
