Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

I don't mean to pile on but posting here seems to work when email does not. Is Steve in training or something? I've been hoping for an update. He told me in April that he would try to do biweekly updates at least. Below is his last update on the TIE's on April 26. I can't get a response by email. Steve, we hope you are OK.

Guys,

Thanks a million. I'm glad you are so excited about the new TIEs! The wings have never looked better. I use to have to mold the Hero stars by hand no pressure chasing all the bubbles with a stylus but now after the move I got an idea. I purcheced a heavy duty dolly and strap it to my 60 gallon pressure chamber. I then set it down for its horizontal feed. I then made a shelf that molds can sit level on. This way i can put molds that are one sided in and pressureize them. Will take pics of the first castings as soon as the new resin arrives. Any one expierence trouble with resin moving from different climates? I have about a half a kit left it when it cures it foams out of control and seeps like crazy, called Poly Tek they had no answer (possibly) water contamination. Not sure so I ordered another 10 gallons to see whats what.

Will uploadpics of the in progress shot later today. man its great to have internet up and running again!

Steve

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Man, you guys are getting strung along like nobody's business. You need a firmer hand to get results from Neisen. Good luck with the cheerful approach, but seriously - either "up the heat" or prepare to wait FOREVER.

Sorry to be so blunt. Just telling it like it is.

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

And I'd just like to add this:

If you owe someone something, and you have internet access now, how freaking hard is it to post on an internet forum? I read this thread and come away with a feeling that there is a distinct lack or respect for the people waiting for their kits, waiting for responses about kits, and in less-publicized but more-troubling situations, the lack of follow-through with compensation for the pattern makers themselves!

The way I see it, Steve is a casting service with a great talent for selling the sizzle/concept. Meanwhile, there's pattern makers and plenty of customers and potential customers falling through the cracks. And no one can even get a real picture of how big the situation is, because half of the "waiting list" is too intimidated to speak up, lest they get an earful from the tempermental fella holding all of the cards.

And yes, in the interest of full disclosure, I have been on the receiving end, and had to make an awfully big stink to get my TIE fighter. It ended in bad blood. It'll happen again to some other unlucky person here. Of course, I've received the full-on anger from Steve, so I have nothing to lose by posting all of this. So here's a call to arms for the people with more to lose than I do, and who are thinking the same things I am.

Break the cycle, someone! PLEASE. It'd be easiest for Steve to do it with a simple posted update. You know?

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

While I'm waiting on something else, I have to admit I'm getting frustrated. Frustrated more with the fact weeks and months go by, e-mails get replied to with promises of one more week, and in the process of going through this over and over again I lose faith that I'm not going to get what's owed to me any time soon.

I do appreciate Steve's correspondence, and I'm sure he has every intention of delivering, I just wish he would post a thread here listing every item that is owed to people including their names. It will make it easy for him and for us as he works down the list and crosses things off in a place where we can see progress. If he can respond to some of our e-mails, I am sure he has time to post a thread on here to settle up with the remaining people that are owed stuff.

His e-mail and pm's won't have to fill up anymore, which obviously could cause any single person to become overwhelmed and stray away from the forum as Steve has done. Also, I do understand he's adjusting to a new job and working second shift. On top of having a family to raise. His time I'm sure is very limited, so that all factors in.

I would just be much less frustrated and hopeless if I saw projects were listed and prioritized in public here at the forum and then x'd off the list in anticipation of knowing one day, as Steve worked down the list, my kit/parts would ship so that I wouldn't have to request a refund.

Steve, can you take just a few minutes and sign in here? :confused

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

That isn't going to happen.

It's only going to happen if those that are owed finally just drag it into the public eye. Phone calls are useless. Emails are useless. The only thing that motivates him and gets results are PUBLIC transactions, because they threaten a person's reputation, which we all tend to defend and value.

All of you guys "wishing" that he'd write back are never going to get asked to the prom, so to speak. Be more proactive, start a new thread called "What Steve Neisen owes us" and I guarantee you will see results.

(you'll also see him FREAK OUT on me, but hey, it will probably also stop all of the TIE Fighter threads from degenerating into page after page of "hey dude - you okay? Hey dude, email me! Hey dude, good luck with the move that happened half a year ago!"...)

:wacko

But part of me says it's just not going to work, because most of you are too scared to do it. And THAT is why he, however well-intentioned and nice of a fella he is, can be a non-deliverer for YEARS. He's forgetful, he's over-extended, and all of you silent sufferers are enabling him to continue. I don't think he's out to rip people off, I just think he's a terrible terrible businessman.

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

I truly believe that if we were to make a website like escrow.com a matter of policy at the RPF, that all of these issues would disappear ovvernight.
