Studio Scale TIE Fighter

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

I wish I'd noticed that before I'd done my first wing, hey ho it still looks great. I'll have to match the wings so If anyone needs some extra tapered T I have 7 strips. I should say that it doesn't match the T strip thats on the wings already though, thats def the box type. I guess its a hybrid. What is on the actual props wings edges, Tapered or straight? Anyone know?

Hello Guy if you have 7 plastruc T i'm interested
how much use of T per wing

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Hey I have a quick question:

What are the dimensions of the standard TIE solar panel? Just a width and height would do. Thanks.

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

I'm a bit confused, can someone clear up weather the correct T for the Tie int wings should be Tapered or box like? I was sent box like from Steve but it seems other people were sent Tapered?

Steve can you clear this up? I have both wings in box like T, & I would be be a bit gutted if it should have been Tapered.

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Guys, I just checked and I too have the two different types in ABS from Plastruct. I used the apparent angled T Rod on the detail piece but didnt know they were different I bought 500 pieces in a bundle they are all mixed. YOUR attention to detail even caught something I missed! I know if you buy the styrene version it is angled.

You could always use two strips of styrene to make the T as was used on the Interceptor inner and outer wing struts.

Back online!

Cessna. i noticed that too. So I put the tapered T-track on one wing and I like it. I don't know if the original had the tapered or not but I like how it gives the edges of the wings a "sharper edge" look

Yeah, I think it looks more pleasing to the eye close up, more aerodynamic so to speak. That is if you know to look for it, I doubt it is something that anyone but the builder would ever be able to detect.

How's it going Steve? I hope all is well. Any new photos you can post? (I'm interested in the Hero TIE, not Interceptor.)

Re: STUDIO SCALE TIE FIGHTER **UPDATED PICS**

Anybody gotten any news on the Standard and Hero TIE's as of late??? Just curious. I can't wait!!! :)

I am still confused as to which type of T to use, the tapered for straight - if one wants to be as close to the actual prop as possible.

What is on the actual props wings edges, Tapered or straight? Anyone know?
